ok well at the calgary date of warped tour this year, simple plan got a the middle finger and lot of water bottles thrown at them. now i didn't really do much i did throw a braclet and i have to say that at the time i really did enjoy seeing people throw the bottles at them. but now i think i was being kinda hypocritical. cause if it was nfg or blink 182 a pop punk band i actually like i would have said that if you don't like them don't watch their set. but being as warped tour had about 3 bands i actually cared about seeing i figured pissing off simple plan fans would be a great way to occupy my time. seriously smashing into stupid little girls jumping up and down like idiots was so much fun.i mean its not like i could actually hurt them i'm like 5'7 and 135lbs and i'm a girl so they're fine. but i don't know, instead of feeling bad for simple plan, i just don't care....... maybe i should think that throwing water bottles is rude, if it didn't contridict what i normally believe (which is don't be a fucking asshole) than i would be alright with it. why do i have to be nice, guilt is not fun.

on a unrelated note:never throw stuff at or boo a band that sucks but hasn't been around for a while only bands that are huge.

I was at a grade/impossibles show like two years ago and this kid was spitting from the balcony down at the guitarist from grade...he asked him to stop a few times and when the kid kept doing it he stopped in the middle of the song, went upstairs and beat the crap out of the kid and then came back down and went back to playing

you know what i just thought of something, its a good thing that me and my friend were in the pit for simple plan, because the dumbass kids there dropped a girl who was crowd surfing on her head, and my friend picked her up and tryed to get her out of there, we had to push really hard to get her out because people wouldn't get out of the way. now that i think of it we are nice, i don't feel bad anymore

That's not cool at all. I am not a fan of Simple Plan, but I still respect them for what they are doing. Throwing bottles is stupid.

If you really hate a band, boo. You ticket doesn't give you license to pelt band members with whatever is handy. And quit with the destroying the scene shit. Quit with the calling everything a scene to begin with. A scene implies a time and place. Is Simple Plan destroying the early-2000s-wherever-in-Canada-they're-from-pop-punk scene? So really, drop that shit, cause it makes you sound stupid.

And Blaarg isn't being fucking pretentious because he likes bands that have broken up. He doesn't think it makes him better, it's just what he likes. People who make those accusations are just insecure about their own taste.

I'm just kidding. I know he isn't being pretentious... I like him he always has something intelligent to say. I just said that because I knew it would push buttons and I wanted to get people riled up.

yeah, and think of the many fans that actually came to see the band. you're ruining a perfectly good show for them.

i'm not sure what to label them as.

I agree.

I have friends who really love Simple Plan. So we all went to see Sugar Ray and Simple Plan at an airshow. The guys of Simple Plan hung out with us for like they whole day. They just treated us like friends. They are a really good bunch of guys and dont deserve to have bottles thrown at them just because people dont like their music. They dont like it, they can move on. Simple Plan was there for their fans, not to be hated on. You wouldnt like it if you actually had a band and yall were playing and people didnt like you so they started throwing bottles at you. Damn, thats just fucking stupid.

But seriously, if they were assholes, i would have been throwing bottles too, because assholes deserve nothing but to be hated right back. But they arent, so thats not the case.

Ok, ill shut up now.

throwing bottles at a band you dont like is so stupid. i mean, if you hated them that much then you could always walk away. you dont have to listen to them play. theyre all really cool guys and they really dont deserve it.

Ok I really dislike Simple Plan so I dont know too much about them so correct me if Im wrong. But havent they only released 1 album? How the hell could they have changed their sound?
On a side noute they just played a big radio show in New York with other acts including Mariah Carey...Kelly Clarkson and the other American Idol people...and many other pop stars. Does help you figure out how to categorize them?

well the whole robot thing was kind of a joke, i'd think people would at least catch on by the ninja assasin part, but whatever. the word 'scene' is usually used to describe a specific part of a genre, though it can also be used to describe the overt genre. though simple plan are canadian they have world wide recognition making them no longer a part of the canadian scene and just a part of the scene (unfortunately)

and yea, the second part was right.
