i listened. it was fun. brendan is very insightful and knows the full band rumor mill. the segment (interview/coup de tat) was very interesting and somewhat informative. i wish there were more people like brendan on 94/9. that station needs to up its ante.

on that note....

go chargers!

I'd say bringing in Tom Delonge and being one of the first media outlets to play and discuss the new Angels & Airwaves album was a pretty solid coup segment. Not to mention having Beck, The Rapture, and The Mars Volta all come in and spin their own music at one point in time made for some solid radio.

Oh and +44 is going to be interviewed in studio tomorrow. I'm not sure of the exact time but sometime between 2-6 pst for anyone who is reading this and might like to know.

I wasn't talking about 94/9 bringing in pseudo-celebrities to make the station better. I was talking about working on the DJs, so they know their stuff. For the past few months I have been getting so bored of the DJ banter. I want to hear more music news and artist stories second-hand. Maybe some little tidbits that can't be found on absolutepunk, mtv, or wikipedia.

94/9 isn't all that bad. They have their concert calendars which are informative. And they do a pretty good job of introducing new music from bands with current CDs in-store.
