Me and two of my friends drove 3 hours to see them and HALIFAX play in Chicago, but the was sold out. Obviuosly we couldn't get in to even buy a shirt or anything. We saw the same show the day before in DesMoines. And didn't buy merch there cause we could just buy it the next day. SO... After not getting in we saw the drummer from IATA. He said that he would see what we could do. He asked around and found out that all of the passes were gone, but he would have given them to us. He was said he was sorry that there was nothing he could do. But he did run in and get us some shirts so that was awsome.

i absolutely LOVE i am the avalanche. i managed to see them 6 times last year, every time got better and better. they are such down to earth cool dudes. i talked to vinnie after his set for easily a half hour or more, the only reason we stopped is because these 2 obnoxious kids came up to him and started talkiing to him. later on, i bought merch and the ratt was talkin to me for a minute and then he asked me and my bf if we wanted to chill at the bar and get a drink. such nice dudes!!!

I've been spinning their album a lot so far the past few days, and I keep thinking about their show with Four Year Strong. I want to see them again. Really bad.

I think IATA has one of the most unique sounds. They don't play any of that pop shit which a lot opf bands are resorting to. There's only so many bands who don't play any of that, IATA being one of them. But what is really cool about them is how they've blended different styles into their sound. In my opinion, it seems like the members of IATA all carried elements of their old bands into IATA. Vinnie sang in the movielife-gives IATA more of the upbeat punk style in songs like I Took A Beating and the new one tentatively titled "Fast Song"(Check it out on Youtube its a good new one). Kellen played Bass in Scraps and Heart Attacks, a long island hardcore band, and I heard that Mike Ireland played in a hardcore band called Revenge Therapy(I believe that was the name). Songs like Dead And Gone have that heavy sounding section where vinnie does kind of scream thang"Hey Hey Hey Shes Dead and...". I just think that the new album overall is gonna turn out to have an even more unique sound than the first album, and hopefully that sound will help them to continue to "stand out" among other bands.

This band's debut really surprised me with how solid it is. I can't really quantify it but there's a real honesty in Vinnie's voice and his songs that makes them way more enjoyable and cathartic than music like this normally would be. Really looking forward to their next record.

"Brooklyn Dodgers" is catchy as fuck, but any song with "Making love in the light of Conan O'Brien" has my heart. And full attention. Haha.

I know everyone on here is pissed off about Drive Thru guys but i think we all gotta stop talking about it for a bit

Vinny's requested that we don't talk shit about drive-thru a couple of times already.

And since there is allegedly a problem between drive thru and IATA, there's probably a good chance that drive thru would get pissed if they knew that the fans knew(im sure they might already) about it. Therefore, making IATA's situation worse. And that's the last thing we want to happen. Let's all just cool down and end the Drive Thru hate notes for a bit.

I wish so too. I looked at the bamboozle setlist though, and I have to say that it looks incredibly abnormal and stupid. Like really? Demi Lovato is performing? Who the hell is LMFAO? that is the dumbest band name i've ever heard. To top it all of Fall Out Boy is like the lead act, shoot me now.

In my opinion the only good bands there are Third Eye Blind, BAYSIDE, Rise Against, and definitley THIS IS HELL. If IATA was playing at bamboozle, i think i'd spend the 60 dollars. But seriously its 60 dollars for ONE DAY. that is a rip off and warped costs like 20 bucks and is 10 times better.

Unfortunately I read somewhere that IATA wasn't playing at Warped Tour this year either though. :-(

I read on here somewhere that they were offered like $20,000 to do a reunion, but one of them turned it down. If this is true, i think we can all agree that it probably wasn't Vinnie who turned it down.

I mean, Vinnie has said in several interviews when IATA was just getting out there that the Movielife was done. When he did Jamestown with Set Your Goals at Bamboozle last year, he said to the crowd something along the lines of "This is It, you guys have been great" or something like that. There's videos on YouTube of it.

Would be cool if the rumors of a reunion turn out to be true though, I would definitely go.
