We've begun rolling out a new feature on AP.net: tags. Borrowing (okay, blatantly stealing) the idea from a variety of different websites (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tags) we hope this feature will allow more interconnectivity and ease of use for the reader (that's you). On all news posts, reviews, and interviews (as well as gallery images, and artist profiles) - you'll find "tags" (often at the bottom of the item). Clicking one of these tags will allow you to pull up other information on the website categorized with the same tag. This provides a quick way (without annoying, often incomplete searches) to pull up all news posts with mp3s, videos, or on your favorite band. This feature is still in the beta phase, and we are working out kinks (and adding additional features). But the basics work and it'll continue being implemented throughout the website over the next few weeks.

As the database grows, they'll become more useful. Woo.

Hey Jason, is there a way to fix it so when you click the thread, it opens up in the same tab on Firefox and doesn't make a new one? If I'm not paying attention, I'll realize that I have like 10 AP tabs opened sometimes.

They should always open in the same tab. Just click the replies button from the front page.

Interesting. When I first started using this site, I originally hit the replies button, and that always opened a new tab. Then I started clicking the new post title and it'd open in the same. I guess it's the opposite now.

I've never really been a fan of tags.

Although, most sites I've seen them on have had so many of them (and mostly useless ones at that) that it became more annoying, than helpful.
