discuss the many great bands of this very talented frontman (Faith no More, Fantomas, Tomahawk, Mr.Bungle, Peeping Tom, etc.)

unlike most, i find him highly overrated, but FNM and Mr. Bungle are both good.

He is the man, the peeping tom self-titled is one of my favorite releases of the year. I wish people on this site had collective orgasms over him rather than anthony douchebag(green).

He's fixed to release Mondo Cane in May. The leak is circulating around the webs, and it sounds fantastic. It's beautiful Italian folk and pop songs from the '50s and '60s, which luscious orchestral music and, on occasion, he transitions from a palatable crooner to his trademark howls. It's awesome.
Also, I never knew he had production duties with Melt-Banana before today. That's pretty cool.

So... My only extended experience with Mike Patton is that EP he did with The Dillinger Escape Plan. Yeah, feel free to give me crap for that.

I only got into him a year and a half ago because of his Moonchild collaborations with John Zorn, Joey Baron and the guy who used to be in Faith No More with him. I found my way to Tomahawk and Fantomas. He's so fucking prolific. I've only just stuck my toe in the waters that are his catalogue.

It's so difficult getting into prolific artists/groups for me. I always look their work up on Wikipedia, seeing huge discographies, and just having no idea where to start. Discussing bands on forums makes things easier, but then there's the matter of those with a variety of styles in their discographies.
Anyways, that TDEP EP I have is really fun, so I guess I should dig further into his stuff.

I just research an artist's expansive catalog and find a work that appears to sync with my tastes. A safe bet might be Fantômas' The Director's Cut. It's a reimagining of various songs from stage and screen that have become ingrained in the pop culture lexicon. It's neat, accessible and highly relistenable.

one of the craziest vocalists ever, in a good way though, its like he can do anything with his voice 0.0

Cool. I'll look into that album. I'm listened to a few songs on MySpace, and I like them.
