Bob Dylan has "deep concerns" (http://www.nypost.com/seven/12142006/gossip/pagesix/pagesix.htm) about the upcoming film, Factory Girls.

haha Oh man. Bob Dylan, you should lay back and enjoy another addition to your legend. I mean, the guy has spun so many false tales of his own, he's ridiculous

"Oh man, I love Bob Dylan so much, he's been such an inspiration to my life. I know, I'll start my own label, but I'll only sign bands that are rip-offs of this band called Blink 182." - Stefanie Reines, Late 90s

Will this be shown with the Indie movie Party Monster so we can watch the demise of the NY scene from the rise and fall of Warhol to the vacuum it left and the club kids and Michael Alig that then filled that void and then fizzled out themselves through excess drug use and death?

so if someone tried to put out a film which suggested you were responsible for someone committing suicide, you would just let it happen?

I'm kind of sick of Bob Dylan, between how awful his last album was and what a tremendous consumer whore he's become. He looked like such a douche in those Apple commercials dressed up like a fucking cowboy. Come on, Bob. You're better than this.

really?????? stefanie said that... thats wierd, didn't drive-thru sign bands like finch, rxbandits, something corporate, senses fail, house of fools, socratic, steel train, and an angle??? or was that some other label? and that hellogoodbye band, "here in your arms" does have a slight similarity to "i wanna fuck a dog in the ass" although blink and hellogoodbye are similiar!... they keep the music fun, sorry that HGB doesn't play down to the scene by wearing eye make up and tight girl's jeans... they just have fun. so really, i don't think stefanie said that at all now that i think about it.

Ok It's not like Bob gave her a gun or a case of valium or something. relax. People don't make other people commit suicide. Unless. your definition of suicide is different.

It's supposed to be entertainment, I personally really want to see it.

Blink182 > Bob Dylan.

Never have, never will, like a single song that man has made.

Do you even know who Andy Warhol was? Have you ever heard of modern art? A band called The Velvet Underground? A place called The Factory?

1) DTR should have never put out the Bob Dylan compiliation because 1/2 the songs, IMO, sucked.
2) Bob Dylan should realize he hasn't been cool/awesome for about 20 years now.
3) Anything with Sienna Miller sucks, so it's not like this was going to be a masterpiece of a movie here.

1. You're right. Terrible bands playing good songs never works out well.
2. What are you saying? That Dylan's last good material was 20 years ago, when he released gospel albums that have gone down as some of hte worst albums in history? You need to get your history straight. Most Bob Dylan fans know which albums of his (or which ERAS of his) are genuinely good. From the early 60s through the mid 70s, Bob Dylan continued to write amazing albums. As he aged and got more and more into the idea of writing albums to upset the people who continue to call him a "legend", the albums got boring and uninspired. However, the past three albums of his have shown that he can still write awesome songs. Most of you here are either 12 or have the mental capacity of a 12 year old, so I'm sure most of you wont finish this paragraph, but if you do, take a second to listen and try and understand why people like him. Don't just dismiss him because doesn't sound like he did 40 years ago. That was fucking FORTY YEARS AGO.
3. This movie is going to be a shitty movie that is done really well.

I know a lot about the period. I love it. It was alright. It was nice to commercialize art and upset so many people. It's just so funny that people "love" this period of time and then try to say bob dylan is some sort of sell out for being in advertisements? That was the POINT of POP ART, the decadence of the era.... not that bob dylan was really associated with andy warhol except that he was the "napoleon" in "like a rolling stone"...

I just feel bob doesnt want himself, nor edie disgraced in such an insensitive manner. I mean art is art. It deserves to be displayed... I just think he has a certain level of respect and understanding of edie that these filmmakers did NOT understand.

but really, ill see it. ill see it.
