Tough question, but which album is the best?

Letting Off The Happiness is what I am going to go with.

I had to think about it.

A Collection of Songs almost took it...

but, at the risk of sounding trendy, I have to go with Fevers and Mirrors

3 songs made the difference
- Something Vague
- An Attempt to Tip the Scales
- The Calendar Hung Itself

This judgement is subject to change within the next half hour of listening.

i'm going with fever and mirrors also. i absolutely love something vague and haligh, haligh, a lie, haligh.

and by the way, great poll.

Fevers and Mirrors. I know this was only full-lengths (what about the Christmas album bro), but my fave is still Every Day and Every Night.

I like A Spindle, A Darkness, A Fever, And A Necklace, Arienette, and Sunrise, Sunset better than Something Vague and The Calander Hung Itself... I don't know why everyone has almost the same favorite songs on each cd.

Wow, you two have exactly the same taste. And you complain about others doing that. Funny stuff.

as lame as it sounds, i really think i like lifted the best. method acting, false advertisement, and nothing gets crossed out are among my favorite bright eyes songs.

Wide Awake remains the only album Oberst has ever done that I love all the way through, and if The People's Key is anything to go by, that will remain true forever.

Lifted is good, some of it is great. I'm Wide Awake is a masterpiece.

i chose Lifted... it would have been a much harder choice if I'm Wide Awake It's Morning was an option.

They're playing for free up by Niagara Falls at the end of this month. Might have to go. Actually definitely going cause Skynyrd is playing a free show the night before.

I honestly don't even understand how it's possible that someone could think The People's Key is their best. That album sucks.

Every Bright Eyes album is great. But I think my favourite would have to be either I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning or Lifted.

It's a good album, bro. How can anyone not like 'Ladder Song'? That's one of the best songs Oberst has ever written.
