Keith of Days Away (http://www.daysawaymusic.com) recently left this message in a myspace (http://www.myspace.com) bulletin.
Just wanted to let yall know that there is no bad blood between us and FBR records.
It just wasn't the right place for Days Away.
We hope this clears up all of your questions/concerns. For those of you wanting to know all of the details, we are sorry, we cannot give them to you for legal reasons. Plus, to us, it's kind of like asking us to explain to you ALL of the details of why we broke up with our girlfriends.
Fooled By Ramen is funny
Please, check back for more posts from us because there is a lot brewing where I am...
word...

Its good of them to say there is no bad blood between them. Hopefully they will get with a label that knows how to market their style of music. 111 could be good for them i reckon now that they have lost TDAA

Fooled by Ramen, haha. Days Away is amazing. One of the most underrated bands out there.

Yeah I see this happening, since EVR is awesome, and keith was in tsoaf. Although it concerns me that when bands get droppped and say they have a lot going on, they usually don't.

amen to that.

Equal Vision, Revelation, Jade Tree, and Deep Elm are the only labels nowadays that I 100% support. I'd love to see them on any of those, though the last 3 are probably unlikely.

I'd actually like to see Days Away on a major; they're very marketable, just not on the same scale as FOB or Panic!, and that's probably why FBR never pushed them like they should have. I think Days Awat would fit very well and do very well on a few majors.

They were on a major before FBR got to them, but honestly, if The Fray can be as huge and as boring as they are, there's no reason a band like Days Away couldn't do the same.

It's Fueled By Ramen's loss really. I'm sure they'll find a label that supports them 100%.

Keith is one of the most amazing singers out there.

Seeing him match Anthony Green's vocals at the TSOAF shows proves it. His range is better than 99% of the singers out there and (dare i say) is easily as good as Anthony Green at singing.

Nice one guys. I think these guys should be on Mash Down Babylon. Am i stupid in thinking days Away would make a greta opener to an Rx Bandits show?

Absolutely not the place for this band, they'll get on a better label shortly.

eh i think these guys need a bigger label than MDB
but id also love seeing days away open for rx, someone make it happen soon

Totally underrated. From their first EP, to their full length, they never got the attention and exposure they deserve. I guess I don't really care what label they're on, as long as they keep making music.

Days Away + Rx Bandits would be amazing.
Mash Down Babylon is a itty bitty label but Days Away would have 100% control over the music they make, but then again EVR would pretty much give them that too.

My vote goes for EVR but at the same time, I doubt EVR would sign them. EVR's owner is weird dude and makes things too complicated at times. AKA why EVR didn't sign Fiore. psssshh

they sort of got left behind when FBR started pushing bands. bands that probably have less talent but maybe more appeal.

Hey everybody, I don't know if anyone know but I run a pretty popular music website on the internet. The site is www.punkpressonline.com, and we have a present for you guys this winter season. First off, check out the interview with NEW FOUND GLORY @ http://www.punkpressonline.com.....erview. htm that I did! We have part one up right now! The first three that get the answer to me will have to answer a question for each of the other updates and we will then draw for our winner. But the first 3 each time will win some goodies....so check it, what do you have to lose? It's not like these questions are that hard..my walking class final was harder than these questions.
Happy Holidays You Punks

Yeah they've definitely opened/supported RX on a couple tours and seeing as though those guys have such great chemistry and are really good friends, we'll just have to wait and see what happens..

111 is getting pretty filled up on the roster, kick-ass label though, It would be good to see them go there

yeah they definately didnt fit on FBR.. i personally wouldn't mind seeing them on Vagrant or EVR. and they've been one of my favorite bands for a couple years now.

12/20/06, 12:10 PM
saw them open for rxb.

on the record, i really like a lot of songs. the singer is kind of annoying after a full set, otherwise, they were good.

i think if they can be a bit more creative with their next one, it would fit MDB good, and bring MDB to the east coast.

i wasn't surprised by this i just think it's shitty that FBR is at its peak and still not even attempting exposure for bands like days away. they're going to wind up with a roster made up of entirely terrible bands that sound the exact same..as if they aren't headed there already. they also let the a.ka.'s go? those are 2 of my favorite bands on that label gone. kane hodder is off of it too apparently but what's going on with them anyway?

goldfishy12356

They would fit well on EVR. Especially with them signing Dear and the Headlights not too long ago

I also believe they will have no problem finding a new home. They are a great band and some of the nicest and most down to earth dudes ever. I can say without a doubt that Keith is one of the best vocalists in our "scene" and a real good person all around. Every time I see them, they leave with hundreds of new fans. Hopefully they will soon find a label that knows there potential and doesn't doubt them, because they certainly know what they are doing.
