They only card you if you want a wristband to drink alcohol.
They don't sell food there...
But you will get a full body pat-down at the door. They're extra-frisky if you're cute.
I'm there about once a month and there's always an excess of clearly underage kids there. You could look five and not get carded.
Julie, thanks for explaining why I always get a thorough pat down.

Yeah, no problem, Devin. Apparently, I'm cute enough to warrant a full-fledged boob grab *and* butt squeeze. Score!
If you're hungry after the show, I highly recommend Amore's Pizza. Turn right when exiting the venue, go down Irving Place one block to 14th street. It's right next to University Hall (my old dorm, score). Their pizza is excellent and cheap, and band members are usually getting food there after shows.
Damn, it was sweet living one block away from Irving Plaza. :-/

i've gotten in fine before, they never even checked for my id, and i'm 15, the first time i went there, i was like 13 or 14 so you shouldn't have any trouble. except i think they mighta made security tighter since that white snake concert.

I didn't much like their pizza, and it's not cheap. I usually wait till I take the PATH back to Hoboken. There's a place with $1.50 slices the size of my head...and I have a large head...so the slices are big...and cheap.

Ah, Devin. Always so difficult. It's like 3 bucks a slice and they're quite large enough, and that's cheap for Union Square/Gramercy. Anywhere else in that neighborhood, and you're looking at a good 11 bucks per meal.

I saw Blindside there a couple months ago and I think they checked my ID as I was walking in along with everyone else. Im 21 by the way. But I did see alot of young kids there so Im sure they are pretty easy going with that stuff.
