U gotta go with MCR, they landed the cover of AP twice, the cover of Blender, The Black Parade album was HUGE, and the video and song were EVERYWHERE!!! Brand New's album is amazing, but MCR definitely had a bigger year.

mewithoutyou is pretty good stuff. Lot more inventive and substancial then 98% of the others listed on that poll. Deftones should be gettin more love though also.

mwy ftw, saw that one coming. I'd go either sherwood (self-released an EP and gave it away for free, signed to a bigger label, and toured the whole time), or The Format (Released a amazing album, after being kicked off their label, twice.)

Understandable, but do any of these other cds really compare to the one Brand New released? I gave The Devil and God to someone who never listened to anything but hardcore and trip-hop and he absolutely fell in love with the record..

I would say that it is either Brand New or MCR based on the individual records.. I never listened to TEN or meWithoutyou so i couldn't really say they are deserving.. The Blood Brothers new cd was amazing as well..

I voted for brandnew and the same can be said about them but at least they released their Major Label debut which is more than ANYONE can say for MwoY. im not saying they're bad, just that they didnt do ANYTHING.

I would have to agree.. I don't really know much about meWithoutyou so I can't really say anything about them.. But out of the bands that are on here that I do know, Brand New's album was the most anticipated and best release of the year.. People said Brand New didn't tour, but they toured with Men Women and Children, and also Dashboard before their new album even hit the shelves..

i ended up voting for brand new against my will. even though i don't like them that much, everyone has to agree that this was a HUGE year for them. but it's still killing me that saosin and the format aren't on here. it's not just because saosin is my favorite band, but because they had a major breakout year... this applies even more so with the format
