On my list right now are Casablanca (http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/casablanca.html) and World Trade Center (http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/worldtradecenter.html). Here (http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/reviews.html)is a list of of some of the more popular titles available. Any suggestions on anything else I should pick up (please limit to one or two more titles at most)?

i don't know if i'd exactly purchase Casablance on HD-DVD, its a great movie don't get me wrong, but it wasn't filmed in HD therefore it isn't a true HD movie, its just upconverted. I'd get Superman (if you liked it) or any newer movie that was filmed in HD

That's not entirely true. Film has always had an incredibly high resolution. It's just that we have not had the ability to display this resolution until HDTVs have become available. And even then, we are still not seeing the entire resolution. 720p/1080i/1080p are infact HD resolutions, however, newer equipment (such as new projectors used in movie theaters) are able to show films in resolutions closer to that of which they were shot.

to be true HD it has to be shot on a HD camera, it might have a decent resolution but Casablanca does not, or any film shot in that era. It can be upconverted to 720 etc but its not true HD, yeah it'll look great but i don't think i'd spend my money on a HD-DVD version of casablanca, what will your dvd player upconvert the standard dvd version to?

Army of Darknesssssssss.

I've never seen it. Judging by the review, it seems like something I'd enjoy...however the mediocre PQ and AQ scores make me think I'd be better off renting it (or picking up the regular DVD).

That's simply not true. Like I said, even movies shot long ago were shot on film that have an extremely high resolution. It all depends on the way that the movie is encoded...which is not the same as what equipment was used to shoot the film. If what you are saying were true, there would be no difference between the HD DVD version and the SD DVD version, and if you would read the review, you would see that there is a difference.

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, because it is pretty confusing. But I do believe you are misinformed.

World Trade Center is not worth it at all.
