Yes, I am. Bono drives me nuts; there is something about him I just can't stand. I know WHY Bono was knighted, but ultimately, I like Morrissey a whole lot more.

bono is hands down the biggest tool on the planet, with the possible exception of the edge. U2 is the most overrated band there is. he did deserve to be knighted because of his humanitarian nonsense and his immense international fanbase though

U2 is the most overrated band there is.

I have to disagree. I saw U2 in October 2005 on their US Vertigo tour and it was the best concert I've ever seen.

While I will agree that U2's music has taken a huge nose dive in quality,
there are tons of celebrities that TALK about the issues of the world and how we need to fight AIDS, poverty, hunger, etc...., but Bono actually goes out and ACTS on all of those claims. Not a big U2 fan, but I love Bono.

I would agree with you about the 90's, Zooropa & Pop were a pretty bad era for U2 but their last 2 have definitly been a huge change for the better. City of Blinding Lights is an awesome song.

um i'm no huge bono fan or anything, but from what i hear, he's done more than his fair share of good in the world. so lay off.

I'd say Margaret on the Guillotine hurt his rep more than the Queen Is Dead. TQID at least had humor and wit, Margaret just had... well it got to the point. He had his house searched by the police for that song.

I think it is called growing up and being mature. He is what, 50 now. Some people do change their views on things when they grow up. They don't always feel hatred and angst their whole life.
