Far be it from me to start a fight about this, but does it piss anyone else off how close minded people are about bands/music and how much stupid bullshit politics and hate there is in the punk scene? I was at the SD warped tour yesterday and while Simple Plan / Sum41 / Mest / (insert your favorite or least favorite pop-punk band here) were playing there was an entire crowd of haters flipping off the bands and throwing stuff at the stage. Maybe I'm nuts, but even if I didn't like a bands music I would still respect them as artists and recognize that they're up on stage for a reason.........somebody likes them. If you don't like a band......don't go see them, or don't buy their cd. I don't give a rats ass how much money they make, or what label they're signed to, or if they're "real" punk, or if they're overproduced, if their music is good......i'll buy the cd. Maybe it's just the san diego punk scene, I hear we're one of the hardest crowds to win over in this genre (probably because we have so much of it) but happened to just enjoying the music?

I totally agree with you. Why would you waste your time at the warped tour throwing crap at a band when you could watch another one. If you dont like them, then dont watch them. Its not a big deal. I like alot of the bands people say "Sold-out" and theres some I dont like, but I wouldnt go to a concert and throw shit at them.

People ae very close minded. I don't just listen to punk. I like some country, 80's rock, bluegrass, etc. I only like music where people play their own intruments. Yes, I like NFG! Thats the only pop-punk band I like.
