Clarity is in my opinion the greates album and my all time favourite. even beats the beatles and MJ! thats my opinion!

i dont know what seems to be wrong with me. In my opinon clarity is alright but futures is absolutely incredible and people need to focus on that album when they think of j.e.w.

i think electable sounds a bit weaker cause of the chorus. The "oh ohs" will probably do better recorded, sort of like Authority Song. Big Casino is awesome

yes it is, im not sure whats happening with it. he takes a lot of Big Casino songs and makes them Jimmy Eat World songs, so it cant be a major priority

Go Big Casino was/is (?) Jim and Tom's side project. They've played handfulls of shows over the years. Songs like "Hear You Me," "My Sundown," and "Drugs Or Me" were all originally performed by Go Big Casino. If you check JEW's band blog, you can see that a few months ago when they were just heading into the studio that a song called "Carry You" was a song that they planned on recording for the new album. "Carry You" is formerly a Go Big Casino song. The trend of GBC songs becoming JEW songs will likely continue.

As for the new songs, "Big Casino" fucking rules. "Electable" will probably sound fantastic after it is recorded. Definitely looks like the new album's songs will be much more in vein of "Bleed American." Not a bad thing at all considering that the album will likely drop in late spring or early summer. Excellent music to play with the windows down.

compared to the rest of the JEW catalog, yes, it is. its a simple formula single, which was great for them, but the song got old really fast, as most formula singles do, for lack of solid content.

i don't see how anyone can develop an opinion from a shotty live recording like this. I hated that rough cut of kill live, but when I heard it on the studio album, it was divine. Im just going to take confidence in the fact that they'll put out a solid album like they always do.

this was recorded at the clubhouse. a tiny bar in tempe az.
so the audio quality aint gunna be too great.
i think its tight to hear new jimmy. cant wait for the cd

the reason why everything sounds sloppy is because of whatever it was recorded on and the acoustics of the place. it leaves no room for reverb or natural sound carriers. its like playing everything on clean guitar setting...you will hear every mistake in the world.

but big casino is awesome. i remember seeing a video of it on youtube

electable is pretty cool. but im not gunna judge. jimmy eat world has a tendency to really change songs around when they get into the studio. which is why futures had about 90239 different versions. its best to just wait for the final product on this one. i have more than my trust in them as usual
