i saw them play a new year's show and they played a new song.

and i run into their drummer a lot and he's probably the nicest guy ever.

Yeah, these guys are great. I love that Polyvinyl signed them. They fit in so perfectly there. Beautifully poppy. I totally need to pick up Broom next time i'm down at the record store.

Plus, their websites are awesome! (Yeah, they have 3. The last link is a fan one that the band has since made official). The first 2 look like they were made on geocities, haha. I love it.

the original mix is a lot more lo fi than the one that came out on polyvinyl. i don't think it's better per se but i still find myself wanting to hear it since that's how i originally hard it back in the day.

i think they did stuff with him but i don't know if it's on the record or not. Last time I saw them they said they were basically done with it and that it would come out sometime in a few months. So I assume that means this year.

New songs are good live though. John added some pedals like a fuzz factory and some delay. Changes things up a bit i think.
