ummm, no. Liberals consider it so, because it is i believe the only news station that fires from both sides. sure cnn has crossfire, but basically every other news station is left. fox news is biased. but its balanced. you get your left bias and your right bias. so shut your cake hole, we've already been over this. any source is reliable as the next, and if anything, fox news is more reliable than communistdreams.

You do know that all of common dreams articles come form other sources right? They even provide links to the origonal source in the article. But then again, I have trouble beliveng the associated press some times too:rolleyes:

And fox news and al jazzeara are more or less the same, just at oposite ends of the spectrum. Just because you belive that fox news "fires from both sides" dosn't make it so, and it definetly dosn't make it the be all and end all of news casting

Yes, Communist Dreams does have reliable sources. You told me this once before, the New York Times, home of Affirmative Action Poster Boy, Jayson "Visit The World From The Comfort of Your Mannhattan Loft" Blair. Yeah, very reliable.

You gave one source out of how many. But you know, the christin science moniter, wallstreet journal, routers, and the associated press can't be that reliable either. Its not like their widly respected or any thing. And just because you disagree with the views of one person who works their dosn't make it an un-reliable source. Contrary to poular belife, it is possible to have an opposing view and include facts in your argument. This may come a shock, but I kid you not! What you beilieve is not the be all and end all. Yes that right, to every story their are many sides, and yours isnt always the right one.

I know Im not always right. But my point is, is that this kid is bitching that I laid down a fox news link. It was a news story, no opinionated spin. He calls it bullshit because its from fox, but then I turn the tables and get bitched at, fair again.

Well I don't think he should have given you a hard time about fox news, but if he were to post an article from al jazzera, so long as it was just a standerad report like the one you posted, can you honestly say you wouldn't give him a hard time?

Hmm yea... not nearly as reliable as anything coming from the CIA or in the President's State of the Union address though...

aren't the articles written by common dreams, using other sites as sources? some of the ones that you've posted are fairly opinonated, not untrue, just more opinion than say an AP article.

BrandNewRock, I kinda get this feeling you don't like me very much. I thought this forum was just good spirited debate, but you seem to take everything really personally.

i dont not like you ( im not going to say i like you, but i dont want you dead) i just dont like your views thats all. i dont take anything really personally, the problem is that you take things to literaly, to seriously. most of the time i am kidding. like if i were to call you a ball licking goat lover, it would be in jest. so chill out, take it easy, dont get all angry at nothing, alright? ha ha

and to matthew...philosophy starved? Philosophy is over-rated. And I do read, not just O'Reilly, not just Savage. I actually just finished a book a couple of weeks ago, Natural Philosophy: Written to Evolve the Human Consciousness by Ben Harris. Notexatly my cup of tea, but hey, you gotta be cultured, right?

You've shown time and time again that you can't take it when someone proves you wrong, so you go and turn any sort of political debate into "all liberals are brainwashed pieces of shit, hail bush, fuck the poor, or FOX NEWS IS GOD!!!!"

Hmm... that book sounds REALLY boring. Read "A Brief History of Western philosphy" by Bertrand Russel. Its really just an overview, and from there you can go deeper into the stuff that interests you.

Amd I wouldnt say philosphy is overated. outisde of college lectures, it really doesnt get much attention. I find its a lot more legitimate than the shit politicans and comentators put out today (Savage, Clinton, O'Reilly, etc.) and call philosophy I prefer it to bad hardcovers that just take potshots at the other side.

As far as I'm concerned, philosophy has come far closer to determining any sort of absolute truth or lack thereof in the universe than any religion ever has. Philosophy is not overrated, in fact it's underappreciated by most people.
