Last year i went and saw Green Day Rocked Ass and Blink 182 wish was never there, but Simple Plan was one of the openers. I think how funny it was because 2002 style they said fuck every other word and now they are like a kid idol and there parent approving I just think its funny how fast a band will change for money
i didnt understand a word of that....:confused:

i think he was trying to say, he saw a show with green day, blink 182, and simple plan was opening. They used to say fuck alot, but now, to get more money, they've changed and become parent approved, and to try to be idols to kids.

I don't understand all the hatred for this band. I think they're great.
I care about their music. I don't care about "selling out", whatever that even means.
If they don't drop the F-bomb anymore, good for them. Obviously they don't feel like they have to conform anymore to what people see as "punk" just to fit an image.

the used is astronomically more talented than any of the bands previously disucssed in this thread. i can see not liking them, but at least they can actually play their instruments, and they atcually do some halfway creative stuff with their music. far more so than anything nofx ever did.

the used has been around for what? a year? NOFX has been around for 20 years. I have heard The Used album, it may be "creative" but it cant compare with ANYTHING NOFX has ever done. NOFX is one of the most creative bands in punk rock today. Trust me, i know alot more about NOFX than you do.

Holy shit people....can we stop with the "well your gay you like..." People have different tastes and if they truely do like the band then thats good. But stop with the comebacks that are "well you suck because you like...". I like The Starting Line and it doesnt hurt me at all when someone says they suck, because chances are they like a band I think sucks too. and secondly, they do swear at their shows. i went to one and thats all they said.. they wouldn't stop saying it. and third.. they haven't sold out

My 7 year old next door neibor and her freind went with there parents to the avril and simple plan concert and all they did was rave about how parent approving those two wore i personaly asked the little girl did they swear and shes like ya and i said what did they say and she said dam

hey now...i dont' think it's true in the least to say that brand new is pop. while they aren't exactly hardcore, they aren't in the same league as good charlotte and new found glory..nor simple plan. THANK FUCKING GOD. it's hard to really classify brand new because they have such an amazing, different sound..but if they were labeled as anything..it would be more emo than pop.

apparently, at a Christmas radio show my friend went to, she said that neither Avril nor Simple Plan were very parent approving. Avril said fuck 3 times during her set, and Simple Plan dropped the parent-hated F-Bomb once. not defending them, just telling a story.

It dosnt mean they sold out, the sold out because of what they did to change so parents would not mind letting there children own there cd's the little girl owns 4 simple plan shirts.
