I will also be interviewing An Angle (http://www.absolutepunk.net/anangle) in the upcoming weeks. Please leave any questions you may have in the replies. Also, if you have yet to hear their latest EP, 5 Days, 5 Songs, I suggest you check it out!

My old band, Lakota, played with An Angle a few times. Once we played in Idaho. There wasn't anyone there. They told us that they like sleeping in Wal Mart parking lots to save money. Very nice guys.

i don't give a shit if he sounds like him, i just want to know how he handles being mainly known for that. if you say the name "an angle" to most people at this website, they'll immediately think of the fact that he sounds like conor oberst. so my question is more in the vein of whether or not that makes it hard on him as an artist to have more notoriety for sounding like someone than for his actual music.

So will his next album sound more like "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn" or "I'm Wide Awake, it's Morning"?

I really dig the EP. And he doesn't even sound much like Bright Eyes on that one.

Ask them what it's like touring with half guys and half girls.
Ask them if they will tour with bands like steel train and socratic so everyone can see the folkish side of dtr.
Ask if they will make another video for any of the songs from the 5 days ep or wait for the full length.
Finally ask how Chris gets his hair so shiney.

I remember in 05' when Alt Press put this kid on BLAST with Bright Eyes' comparisons in an interview with An Angle. Let's just say he didnt rise above with sentances like "um, no I do not sound like Conor...we are friends but...ugh....no, he's not an influence..."

Are you looking for alternative labels to release the next album/albums afterwards?

Does lack of attendance at shows deter you from returning to same area or venue? [i.e. London, Ontario, when roughly 14 people showed, but the show was so personal and amazing. quickly afterwards, news spread around the areas of An Angle, and a second performance would garner SO much new attention]
