Ok, there is a difference between drug-free and straight edge. First, sXe generally includes some other shit such as veganism and abstinence. But I think the bigger deal is that sXe refers to a scene. You know, with bands and everything. It's also very, very strict. Edge people hate nothing more than edge breakers. So many young kids toss the word around but have never even been to a sXe show. Just know the company in which you use the word or you're liable to get an ass whooping. Oh, and I am not sXe.

hey, i play a varsity sport, and i have a relatively normal life. Just when else can you go to wal mart and enjoy the shopping cart as much as the actual store? not very often. I'm not talking about just running around in a shopping cart, because that's fun when you're not high, i am talking about actually looking at the shopping cart and appreciating exactly what it's for and how effectively it serves it's purpose. Hey, it's cool that you're at least open to it. You wouldn't hate your best friend if they tried smoking once would you, that would be silly, so what, they experimented a bit, no reason to not hang out with someone because of it.

Also, I didn't totally bash youth groups, I was aiming for those kids whose only friend base are those in their youth groups and/or youth pastors, and won't take the time to give someone with a secular lifestyle a chance just becuase they may not have made the same choices.
