Has anyone ever traded in old games/systems to gamestop or eb games?[or other places similar to them]
I'm thinking about taking my old playstation 2, xbox, and possibly psp to them for some cash, along with about 25 xbox games, 5 ps2 games, and 7 psp games/movies.
Does anyone know about an average price they buy those for?

they are dirt cheap when it comes to trading in games. i took some games once and was only able to get a few dollars for 2 or 3 games. same with dvds.

but i have no idea about systems. i know usually they give deals on new systems if you're trading in, but no idea when it comes to cash.

Ok, thanks for your help. I just don't want to take a crapload of stuff there and wind up with 20$

they will give you more if you take store credit. if you're only wanting cash, go with ebay or craigslist.

Go with FYE dude. The LEAST they gave me for a game was 8 bucks. EB Games was offering around 25c per game.

if you have sports games you might as well give them away because they will give you nothing for them

Find an independent gaming store. Theres one where I live, and i was getting 4 or 5 bucks for PSone games.

PS One games are worth more than that. Hell, I tried finding Tomba online and the cheapest for used is 50 bucks.

i was browsing in an EB games once and overheard some kid about to sell twisted metal 2 to them for a dollar. so i did the honorable thing and offered the kid 8$ for it. the store manager got pissed and told me to leave, but the kid was pretty psyched, and i got to remember why that game was so fucking good when i got home.

I don't expect crash team racing to be worth very much

EB/Gamestop is awful at trade ins. The local store chain around here, Gamers is great. EB will give you $2 and they will give you $8 for the same game, or more.

The most EB/Gamestop will give you for a non promotion one is going to be about $8 I would say, their promotions are great though. Like last year I traded in two old NCAA football games and an old Madden one for about $30 towards NCAA 07.

i traded in a playstation 2 about a month or two ago, and got 60 for the system and i sold like 4 games with it too, and got like 15 out of those..its not really worth it...ebay is the best bet....

plus i dont think theyd pay for all that stuff with cash in one day anyways.

I overheard someone at my local eb's getting $30 for an xbox...i don't really think thats worth it, but if you need the cash I guess go for it.
