this song is rather average but i like it.
"drifting at sea"
im alone here, drifting at sea
read my message, carry me
save me, find the bottle
read the note, come to me
the sandy beaches are outta reach
too far away to turn back
stuck here, no where to go
all i see is ocean, land will never appear
read the note. im here. im alone
no one around. only the nothingness that surrounds me
sorry. the note was never read. now my ending is coming
10 days now have gone away. my body, i cant feel
maybe this was meant to be
come finish me, so i can never be found.
be at rest with the sea, i know its wrath
as the waves crash against my lifeless body
the sea has swallowed me whole
and now i must give it my last breathe
and drown in the nothingness, as my body is compressed
i die in a pool of my own blood
this is nature, now its time to feed
its pretty short.

Man, how do you do it? It's simple and just a really good song I think. And I like how you use something like the ocean instead of singing about some girl (like most people do). I agree it is a little short but sometimes short songs are excellent.

It's alright. If it had good music, it'd do well.

First of all, this is a song about a girl, or at least someone else. "A rescuer". It is NOT about the ocean, it is about this guy on an island and he wants someone to save him. It is SET in the ocean, but it is not ABOUT the ocean. In the end, this is just a "save me, i'm lonely and dying" song, of which there are many.
Buriedalive, you repeat yourself a lot.
stuck here=nowhere to go. If you're stuck on an island, then of COURSE THERE IS NOWHERE TO GO!!
"All i see is ocean, land will never appear"
If you only see ocean, we KNOW THAT YOU DON'T SEE LAND!!
Why write such a depressing, bad-teenage-poetry type song? Are you really that sad all the time? Poor you!!
This whole thing is a bad metaphor for being in a hopeless situation, ocean=hopelessness/despair, land=the hope that will never come.
I've seen this same song a million times before...oh my god, get a good idea.

ok wewin, i wasnt trying to be original, im sorry you think this is cliche or unoriginal. but thats how i felt that that certain time. i never said it was the greatest song in the world. this is the rought draft and i will fix it up. and thanks for the critizism (did i spell it right or are you gonna point this out too?) and sorry i took the others quite serious, i thought the song was really good but now i realize its not all that good.
it's criticism. just so you know, not trying to be mean.
