i thought it was funny that the review kept saying how much the record is nothing like thrice....and then goes on to say "for fans of thrice and choeed and cambria"

I do not get the reference to Coheed. That confused me as well.

i'm pretty anxious to hear this album. personally I'm more of a metal fan, but lately I have embraced alot more different styles of rock. This will probably easily be the first album I buy that is not "heavy" with the exception of Saosin's and Thrice's (cause really those aren't heavy at all when you consider I listen to metal). So it will be interesting to here this album. As for the review, I thought it was pretty accurate from what I have listened to on myspace. Oh they are probably comparing it to Thrice's acoustic songs.

I hear more of the older influences than Ryan Adams -- but I do see the comparison (even though I'm not really a Ryan Adams fan). I really like this Cd.

RIYL:
Thrice, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash
That's a better way to end the article.
Fucking great album, one week until I get to see him again :)

A review of the album containing a reference to Dashboard Confessional? Holy shit..
I'm glad to see the good ratings though. Even if I haven't seen a grade lower than 7 on a bigger artist in Kerrang since..ever.

I've never bothered to read this magazine before, but does their rating system mean that if the cd was not as good, they might have rated it "kkk"? Has anyone ever been rated kkk before?

i liked the cd. Dustin is so talented its scary and very underrated as one of the most important frontman in music. im still so bitter at how Vheissu was received by people as its my 2nd fave cd ever.

Ryan Adams hasn't written an album this fun and cohesive in a really long time. Hell he recently put out a rap album. Ryan Adams doesn't even sound like Ryan Adams anymore.

I'm getting this album soon, hopefully it'll be better than Greg Graffin's solo effort, which wasn't bad (especially since the Weakerthans were his backing band), but nothing really special.
