i saw them on warped tour this last year and not many people were there. this year it might be harder to catch a spot to see them, but it'll probably be worth it.

oh yeah, and i love this icon (the cover of the 2003 warped compilation) because the first disc of that comp is one of my favorite cds.
it is right up there with the second disc of the 2003 take action! comp - that is a great cd.

Between Paramore headlining

Arent they technically "Co-Headlining" . Im not sure if that makes a big difference, but im guessing that means they will be playing main stage only some days ( a good amount though) in the crappier spots, and then the next smaller stage the other dates.

As for Meg and Dia, I went to the first show of Warped last summer (maryland) and We were all wanting to sit in the shade for awhile, we'll we walked by the myspace tent and heard what sounded like a good band, and then we went in and saw they had coaches, so we were in heaven. Sat down and watched the show with about 15 other people, and we all that they were really good. Little did we know they would start getting pretty big right after warped, and look to soon becoming very big. Probably the most memorable event of warped last summer for me.

I watched their whole set last summer cause I wanted to know what all the myspace hype was about and man was dia (lead singer) waaaay the fuck off key. I know the myspace tent had some guerilla style stereo systems but she wasn't in key with anything the band played.

CD's a different story though.

Exactly... They didn't really have a good turn out at either dates I attended last summer. I was actually kind of bummed about it. But who knows, this could potentially be a sign of their blow up. They were bound for stardom since they got signed, it's just a matter of time, and their new album of course.

agreed. i was unaware 90,000 copies sold made the cut for headliner. from what i've understood i thought you had to sell a minimum of 200,000 copies to play the main stage.

^ Main stage ALWAYS has at least a large size crowd (except for maybe the first act) People that have no idea of the set times just like hang out there for some reason. And "Fucking huge crowd" for another stage and "fucking huge crowd" for the main stage are two completely different things.

coheed should be good. too bad im not gonna stand 6 miles away and listen to a great band with massive distortion from that range.
and as far as softer bands go, i wouldn't mind seeing mae play there.

i think its cool you listed the merkurs on here since youre from new york, theyre from my hometown and i knew they played NY quite a bit but didnt realize they were that well known, i graduated highschool with their drummer...but its too bad the merkurs arent together anymore
