The fact that they've managed to turn this gimmick into a career blows my mind every time I think about it. No matter how you put it to me it's still just like watchig two dudes jerk off all over their instruments.

It makes me think of the friends I have who are really great at their instruments, but could never manage to put together anything into a band.

Except all Volta fans know how lazy Omar is w/ releasing his solo stuff (DVD for the Volta, A manual dexterity 2, and the movie for AMD:1) I just hope the Volta release their new album this year, because they're almost done recording. And I hope this Zach Hill collab. see's some light soon too!

dude!! mono fucking sucks!!! i got it at the tail end of tour last summer (cancelled last week of shows) and it took me out of commission for a month and a half. i came home to my parents house and was just like "take care of meeeeeeeee". it got to a point where i went up the stairs and immediately passed out. good luck!

the night i first got the symptons was weird too! it was after this show in florida with all these awesome bands, and there was this awesome pool party at this dudes house, and i just locked myself in a room and watched american pie: band camp. the second time it came on (because its was TBS and they always show shit twice), shawn from sparrows s+s comes in and is just like, i hate parties, can i sleep in here? and we watched it again. surprisely good time on a shitty night

Yeah dude, its so rough, and I'm on like day 4 of...I don't even want to think about it. The first day I woke up with a splitting headache, it felt like there was a line of marbles up either side of my neck, and I couldn't lay on my left side, so I webMD'd that shit and my symptoms all matched up with mono. So i went to the wellness center on campus, tested positive, and then she told me I need a sonogram on my spleen ASAP. So now my carless ass has to try to find a radiology place on Long Island or else I'm stuck going to the hospital in the ghetto for it. But yeah I'm lucky enough to have a late spring break, so next week I'm going to be at home.

Oh man, to miss Off Minor was devestating. Chances are, I'm missing Battles next Tuesday too. But I'm keeping it optomistic. I'm spending that money on something kickass...when I think of it.

dont worry about not seeing off minor, those dudes will never die. theyll be playing music well into their 90's or so. although watching them play this is a hostage situation at 1.5 x normal speed is fucking amazing. battles will be around a while too, i say just concetrate on getting better and watching lots of tv and eating lots of applesauce. if i was anywhere close to you id offer to drive you to the radiologist, that shits improtant
