This is a poem that was recently published, and I wanted to get it out there. If any of you would like to enter contests and get published, then you can go to poeticpower.com.

"Somewhere I Belong"

This feeling inside is unspeakable
Abandonment tears me apart
The fear of being alone
Makes every emotion dark
I'm so unwanted
And sometimes I wonder why
I thought I was home
But it was all just a lie
I've spent my life looking in;
Searching for a place where I belong
But everywhere I turn
Everything comes out wrong
It all seems so fake
The love they try to share
And deep down inside
I don't believe they truly care
So I continue to search
Because it all feels so wrong
Thought I feel as if I'll never find
Somewhere I belong

0.o; cheer up. Your depression is not helping your writing abilities

The website you got published on looks like a scam to me.

It seems very similar to poetry.com.

Depression has nothing to do with my ability to write, it's just an inspiration for it.

As for the website being a scam, you're wrong. Creative Communication is a very respectable company.

fierywolf, your right. Your depression doesnt have anything to do with your ability to write, and although it is an inspiration for it your poetry will only relate to a certain amount of people. And others will just see you as some depressed kid. Keep writing though. Get some happy pills, I take them now and they're great.

I never said that I wanted my poetry to relate to anyone, I write it for myself and most of the time, no one else. I honestly don't care what people think about me, just what they say about my poetry. As for the happy pills, all they are is sugar, I don't see how being hyped up on placebos would help me any whatsoever....

They sure as hell dont taste like sugar. Either way I felt better after I started taking them. And isnt that all that matters?
