HeavyHeavyLowLow (http://myspace.com/heavyheavylowlow) was robbed last night in DC.
well, last night while staying at the howard johnson in washington, d.c. someone broke into our van and stole the following:

our GPS system, more than four thousand dollars, robbies portable dvd player and all the dvd's, all of dannys dvd's and gameboy micro games, everyone of our cd's, and a duffle bag of ryans clothes

this is a huge bumout, its the first time we've been robbed, I really doubt anyone could help us find a sketchy crackhead in d.c., we worked hard for that money and our stuff..

everyone please come out and support the stress tour and check out our new merch, we need the financial help.. :(

Shit happens, people make mistakes... sometimes really big ones that cause bands to split up. Hopefully lessons were learned from it all, and not just some stereotypic "wisam is scum" bs cause he's not. Yeah it was shady, but it's not the first shady thing tbop has ever done... I guess it's the first one y'all just weren't all aware of.

Despite what they may have done, I still love this band. I've traveled a few times to catch em every time they're in the area and they have yet to disappoint. They put on a great show, and they've seemed like nice enough guys both times. Sure, definite potheads and stuff and I know they've definitely been a part of some shady stuff, but I don't think they deserved this. If I was still gonna go out to Charlotte tomorrow to catch them at the Strhess tour I'd definitely wanna help out somehow, but due to the fact that it's supposed to be icy and whatnot tomorrow here in NC, I don't see that happening. :/

Okay for starters, from being on the road somewhat and being a nervous ass dude all the time anyway I'd probably never leave my valuables in the van. But either way it doesn't mean they "deserve" to get their van broken into and robbed completely. Escpecially all the way across the fucking country. No one deserves such a terrible thing to happen to them, even though it is a reocurring thing that happens to bands on the road.

From personal experience, I know that these guys are nice, friendly people who love what they do and are terribly grateful for everything they have. For everyone to be pissed off at all the internet rumors that you read about its ridiculous seriously. I'm not saying I "know" them really but I seriously doubt they would do such terrible things. I mean if you think about it they don't really need to steal, they are blowing up all over the country love it or hate it, they'll be rich soon.

And we also have a ps2 and little tv, as well as our personal things, like ipods, gameboys etc. It makes 6 hour drives a lot nicer to have these things, especialy if your a band like hhll that is on the road pretty much non stop. That being said, the nights we are lucky enough to stay in a motel, we always bring every thing inside with us and try to conceal anything left in the van that might have some value, so it wasnt the smartest thing for them to leave that stuff inside, but sometimes shit happens like that.

Too bad the guitar player in Hot Cross is just as talented as Thomas Erak. I dont even particularly dislike the fall of troy, they are cool dudes, but the level you kids put his guitar playing on is ridiculous. He's a good player, obviously, but in no way some sort of guitar god. The sad thing is I like some of the bands on your favorite musicians list, but sadly kids like you probably just list them to look cool on myspace. I'll give you some admireable categories about hot cross. 1) The band contains 3 members from Saetia. 2) They are one of the biggest forces currently in the DIY music scene. 3) They dont steal shit from their fans. 4) Both Hot Cross and Saetia are influences of probably at least half of your favorite bands on myspace. I can't wait till myspace kids start eating up the new hot cross cd and hot cross magically appears in your favorite artists list.

Yea, very true, fall of troy are talented but most of their stuff isnt my cup of tea. I just think the kid needs to stop arguing and insulting bands(converge, hot cross, saetia) that are a major influence on over half the bands he has listed in his favorite artists.. I mean, I'm sure you, as a musician can respect what saetia and converge have done for music.
