So what went on last week on AP.net? Well, here's your recap.
It was rumored that TRL will be canceled (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=203996), Just Surrender (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204008) started recording their new album, Tom (Houston Calls (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204016)) got tea-bagged, Sigur Ros (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204029) began writing and recording their new album, and The Steal (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204062) have a new website (and an American label that doesn't have their head up their ass needs to offer them a licensing deal to get their album out in the states).

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204212) put their album up for stream (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204325) (and purchase), Barack Obama announced (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204256) he may run for President, and Say Anything (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204262) posted a lengthy update and decided "Wow, I Can Get Sexual" will be a single from their last album. Ted Leo (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204276)'s new album now has a tracklisting, and Driver Side Impact (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204292) signed to Victory Records. Morrissey (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204310) is coming to California, Anberlin (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204396) posted "Godspeed," Hot Cross (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204400) posted a new mp3, and some teams played sports.

Epitaph (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204422) have a win "EP deal" contest, Imogen Heap and Neko Case were on AOL (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204428), the Give it a Name Festival line-up was announced (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204564), and Bayside (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204567) released their ecard. Relient K (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204580) posted a new song, Oregon flipped out at snow (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204582), the RIAA acted like idiots (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204593), Bridge9 signed Ambitions (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204608), and Fat Wreck Chords posted some (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204610) new songs (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204601) from two artists (Only Crime and Smoke or Fire). The Ataris posted a new song here on AP.net (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204625), The Bled (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204616) started a street team, and Joshua Radin (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204621) released tour dates. Russ launched Absolute Ink (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204679), The Chariot (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204796) set a release date, and Owen's video contest (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204847) continues.

The Academy Is (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204896) declared their album title and are finishing up mixing the new album, and The Shins (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204914) put their new album up for stream. Any Jimmy Eat World (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=204929) news is good news, and unfortunately Much the Same were in an accident (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=205092). Bright Eyes (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=205082) signed an international distro deal, and the entire Dustin Kensrue (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=205215)album is now up for stream. I have to mention the MxPx (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=205119) coffee as well as John Mayer's brilliant blog (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=205107).

I don't know how I feel about TRL being cancelled. I mean, it's a shitty show, but at the same time, it's the only music still on MTV

I'd rather watch TRL rather than a reality show trying to be another Laguna Beach. Not to mention what will happend if it's replaced by Next. MTV just needs to call it quits or be called something else.
