Little Miss Sunshine is amazing. I really want to see Babel and The Departed. I might check out Letters From Iwo Jima when it hits DVD. I'll be angry if The Queen wins.

Where the hell is children of men....
I wasn't really a big fan of it. Thought it was quite overrated. I didn't really feel like anything was truly explained as far as the epidemic was concerned. I mean, what caused it all? And what did they actually accomplish by the ending (trying to avoid spoilers)?
Oh, and I find it very interesting that Little Miss Sunshine was nominated. I thought it was hilarious, but don't see any chance it's actually going to win. It's like, I don't know, someone nominating Bowling for Soup for a Grammy.

i wonder if bable could be any more depressing. if pitt wants a best actor nod he should just plat a mentally challenged person...those seem to be what does it these days

except its not in indie. all those actors know exactly what they're doing and what the implications are in doing a film like that.

The Departed was good, but I don't think it was "fuck!n awesome d00d!!!, although the end was awesome, but i def think little miss sunshine should win, for it's feel goodness. babel did too poorly with critics too win, and is too much like crash to win. I am going to see the queen tonight, so we'll see.
stilll havent seen little miss sunshine =[
i thought babel was alright but i felt the story took too long to tell, but still wasnt incredibly developed. gael gracia bernal being in it gives it a couple extra points though.

I'm beyond happy with the nominations that Little Miss Sunshine received. With 'Best Picture' to top it all of course. It deserves to win 'Best Picture'. I am even more thrilled with Abigail Breslin's nomination for 'Best Supporting Actress' . She delivered a radiant performance, which brought a tear and a smile to my face. Stellar! It is a big improbability that she wins it, but the nomination alone is well-deserved. I would've loved to see Steve Carrell receive a nomination for 'Best Supporting Actor' though. He was fantastic.

3 noms for Children of Men. Sucks that the push the fans have given the movie (has received national notice) still wasn't enough to get the best picture nod. It is by far one of the best movies I have ever seen.
