On January 30th, Say Anything (http://www.absolutepunk.net/sayanything)'s new single "Wow...I Can Get Sexual Too" hits radio; look for the video will be released next month.

I think it's 100% appropriate.

Wait, will this be on the new album? If so, that's pretty gay since its been out for like a year.

I LOVE Say Anything, but this is probably my least favorite song they've ever done.

And it seems like IARB has so many other songs that would make better singles, like Belt, Woe, Every Man Has a Molly, Spidersong, or I Want to Know Your Plans.

I think I agree, whats everyone obsession with it? Their other songs are much, much better. I do freakin love them though, happy for them to get the exposure.

this thing could cause accidents,

the ringing at the beginning of the song sounded like my ring on my cell. I can only imagine the damage it will cause.

01/24/07, 01:30 PM
haha such a bad song. but then again, the only song that really screamed "single" off of IARB was Alive. Maybe Woe. I probably would have chosen Woe, but I'm sure Wow will bring in some more fans.

i don't like this song at all compared to the rest of is a real boy, but whatever. it's say anything.

Hasn't this album been out for... eons? As in nearly 3 years? It astounds me that they're putting out a new single off of it. How about a new album?

I really like Say Anything...but i'm pretty much over the album at this point...it's so weird to be pushing a song to radio after it's been out for so long.

Is a Real Boy came out in '04, but the new single is from the reissue, which came out not all that long ago.

And they are currently in the studio, working on a new album. It's supposed to come out in the late summer or fall.

Scuba Chris

They weren't going to even release it as a single but "people" were clamoring for it.
I think it is an excellent song and look forward to it hitting the airwaves.

looking at this song, its fun to listen to. if this is the song that will get them exposure then more power to them. i have complete confidence that max bemis and co. will continue to make great music no matter what level of success they achieve, which is oh so comforting.

I can't wait to hear which radio stations play it unedited and which ones play it edited...and what exactly the edit is going to be. This should be amusing.

Anyone who actually expects this song to be heavily edited is a goddamn moron. The Divinyls had a huge radio hit 16 years ago that included the chorus line "When I think about you I touch myself." That song was huge. With the possible exception of the word "stoned" I would expect the song to play in its unedited entirety.

yes, the album has been out for a while, but it was originally released on doghouse records. say anything left doghouse records, signing with j records, and j records thought this album was excellent and marketable (which it is) and wanted to allow it to be successful by giving it more exposure. you are seeing the fruits of that labor now.

i think the song is great and accessible to the public, also why wouldnt it get played as it is? i think there is no chance of anything getting changed

It's going to be hell editing this one.

PS: Awesome title. Me, too.

I like this song and all but I hate the fact that this is the only SA song that people will hear and just think it's some sort of novelty... and not even bother to listen to the rest of their music and won't realize that they're an amazing band... just think they're some stupid band that put out a funny song. Meh.

immacabdriver
01/24/07, 06:28 PM
Given that this song is so old, wouldn't "We Will Erase All Life on Earth But Us" have been a more appropriate single?

That said, this is a catchy song that people won't forget about anytime soon.

I have "We Will Erase..." on a compilation I got at Warped 05... so it's not newer.

(Though it happens to be a fucking incredible song.)

That is really strange, with them recording a new album and that song being decently old.

it sucks when that happens, but I am interested to see how the video turns out

Fuck this shit. This song's way too old to be released as a single now, and them releasing it as a single is about to make them hella mainstream. Yeah good for them I guess.

I was riding the bus home the other day and I saw two fourteen year old girls singing "wow, i can get sexual" as loud as they could with it blaring through one of their cell phones. I'm glad say anything is getting the publicity.....but that still kind of bothered me. Call me a music snob, but after seeing this same thing happen just before FOB (who i do still respect musically) blew up....I got a little nervous. As soon as I heard those girls obnoxiously butchering the lyrics and vocals to this song I lost the intimacy i felt before.

Love this band. Hopefully by "radio" they dont mean "TOP 40"
