Very minor thing, probably not worth it, but I thought I'd bring it up just in case.

In Firefox, when you click on a member's name and the drop-down menu comes up, you are unable to hold "Ctrl" and click the links to open them in a new tab. Personally, I use this function of Firefox quite a bit, and when I go to look at a member's profile I like to open it in a new tab and keep the current thread open.

Click their avatar instead. That's what I do.

Well, I also don't use Firefox, so I can just click, hold, and drag a link to the edge of a page and it opens in a new tab.

Right click the tab and do open in new tab. That's how I roll.

Interesting. I actually never thought/tried that .. perhaps that's my own stupidity. :-/

That's what I've been doing.

Middle click the link, it'll open in a new tab.
I have a touch pad on my laptop so I don't have a middle click button.

I'm trying to switch to Firefox, the not being able to drag a link to the edge of the page is a little annoying. I have to drag it specifically to the tab bar, which requires more effort. I'm lazy. Oh well. I guess I could learn the ctrl + click thing.

And I can alt + s again with Firefox! But I haven't half the time because I'm out of the habit.

I know none of you care at all about this and it's totally irrelevant to anything else in here, but that's okay, you can report this as spam or something then.

Note: Firefox's spell check is retarded; it thought "okay" wasn't a real word. Although I think IE Spell had the same problem. Oh well, added to dictionary. It's weird not having the spell check button up there though. But this way I don't forget to use it if I make a typo.

Edit: I just did the Alt-S thing. Why would anyone do this over clicking?

because you don't have to pick up your hand and move it to the mouse. It's so much easier. Try it out for a couple days. Once you get into it, it will be impossible to stop, I promise. It makes posting much easier and quicker since you don't have to go to the mouse to find the button.

eehh they way i see it is you have to move your hand back to the mouse either way. i guess it would be good for laptop users tho

Clicking the scroll-button on the mouse isn't an option for me because I'm on a laptop and use the touch-pad.

Now I just Ctrl + click the avatar. Problem solved.

So... what extensions does everyone use on Firefox? I'm wondering if I should have that No-Script one, but I don't understand what it is.

Session Saver is always good, as well is AdBlock.

Yeah, I have that and I use the session saver that's in Tab Mix Plus.

It doesn't work for me anymore either. It brings me to my History.

Did you upgrade? Maybe it screwed it up.

Just search on google, it's the first page that came up for me.

Ooh! Even though this is a late discovery, I really like the Alt+S thing.

EDIT: Sadly, though, it doesn't work when you're editing a message. :-( Someone wanna change this?
