1997 (http://www.myspace.com/nineteenninetyseven), one of Victory Records' newest signings, left for the studio in California today. Their Victory debut will be recorded with Cameron Webb (Motorhead, Silverstein, Ignite), and should be in stores in late April or early May.

I like them. But why Victory? I'm sure that if you knew that Victory was interested you could at least get some sort of buzz about your band going and get signed somewhere else.

a bunch of my friends thought it was another band with the same name as our friends (http://www.myspace.com/1977music) whenever they sped-read the first article about 1997 getting signed. they thought someone beat those boys to using the same name, hahaha
interesting, but yeah...i'm wondering what direction victory's trying to take now.

The songs on their Myspace/Purevolume sound really good, so I'm looking forward to this.

They added me on myspace a while back and I really liked what I heard then and still do. It was nice to see them get signed, even if by Victory nd I am really excited for their first release, I'll definetly be checking it out, probably falling in love with it.
