Anti-Flag Talks With Canada

Anti-Flag (http://www.absolutepunk.net/antiflag) have talked with Canadian website Chartattack.com (http://chartattack.com/damn/2007/01/2405.cfm) and discussed how they're perceived and accepted by America's neighbors.
If we're gonna talk in stereotypes, I'd say Canadians are a little bit more accepting and a little bit more peaceful.

I question the notion that the Canadian people overall are more accepting. As a nation, I think we were fortunate enough to have a party in power (Liberal Party) for so many years that passed gay marriage legislation and opted out of the Iraq war. However, to make a sweeping generalization that all Canadians are accepting is not wise. I still know far too many people who are homophobic, racist, and so on. I think institutionally we are more progressive and accepting than our neighbors to the south, but in terms of our social consensus we are similar to Americans.
