The New Trust (http://www.myspace.com/thenewtrust) – They’ve slowed a bit from their 2004 EP, but Dark is the Path Which Lies Before Us is still full of the kind of thoughtful irreverence that made this Slowdance act one of my favorite bands.

Kaddisfly (http://www.myspace.com/kaddisfly) – I wasn’t a fan before I heard Set Sail The Prairie, but now they’re the biggest reason I’m stoked for the Take Action Tour.

husband&wife (http://www.myspace.com/husbandwife)– Bloomington, IN’s latest sensation. Slow indie pop in the vein of Death Cab For Cutie and Pedro The Lion. Alternative Press called Operation: Surgery one of the most beautiful indie-pop albums to come out in 2006.

Black Cross (http://www.black-cross.com/) – Rob Pennington’s interview in Punk Planet a couple years back changed my life. No longer with Equal Vision (it was amicable), The Cross is now playing their Dischord inspired hardcore on Louisville label, Auxillary Records.

Absolute Ink Selection:

Drew Danburry and The Pink Fanny Pack Incident (http://www.absolutepunk.net/journal.php?do=showentry&e=11896) – Drew tries to open some minds at public pool in Utah.
