And I asked you to be careful. And I asked you if you wanted me to drive. And I asked you if you were tired. And I asked you if you were going ot be alright. You said yes, son, go back to sleep, so I did, and I woke up to our car skidding out of control, busting through the barrier and freefalling to the earths core.
You've never felt the experience of life, or the cold embrace of death until you are staring both right into the eyes and posed with the question do you want to risk to live or just settle with your death.
I told you to save yourself, jump out and try to hold on. But your old body couldn't muster up the strength, or the will to go on. I didn't understand because you had always fought until you've won. But this time, you didn't seem to mind, and you let yourself fall.
I finally realized as I watched the car fall, that you really don't know what you've got until it's gone. And I watched your body burn, as I waited for help...and I realized not once in my life, you ever thought for yourself. So I thank you now that you're gone, for now it has finally hit me. That in your mind your life was mine, and you've taught me everything i've ever known.
You've never felt the experience of life, or the cold embrace of death until you are staring both right into the eyes and posed with the question do you want to risk death for your life or just lay down and die.
