"The Dome" is the name of this new venue in Albany Georgia, im not real familiar with the city as it is a a couple hours from my town, but they had a pretty sweet setup, really strong turnout, and just an overall good atmosphere, i think they said it was their first show.

Classic Addict opened up the show with a rockin' Pantera riff that led into their self-titled song(which was produced by matt goldman and malpass), the song is on their myspace. it's really hard hitting and tight, a high energy good opener. They carried the energy really well throughout the set and their guitar player just tore it up on his firebird, They played a song that i kind of got a maylene feel from, not that its hardcore, but just very hard hitting with big riffs tight drums and some southern influence.

two other bands played after CA, but i left to get some tacos and came back for CV, i caught one song from a band called fixed til tuesday that the crowd seemed to really like, i got kind of a chiodos vibe from them

i've seen chasing victory a few times so im pretty familiar with their stuff. They put on a great show, as they always do, and mixed in some new material off their upcoming album fiends, i think coming out in march or may. I don't recall the exact set-list but they opened with oceans away(the perfect opener) and played unrequited love, guardian angel, taste of your own medicine, the killer is me, and suspects alibis and partners in crime as an encore. thats my favorite song of theirs. kids were going nuts pretty much the entire time they played-it was pretty intense-all in all-great show and i cant wait for the new album to come out

i recommend Classic Addict to both pop-punk fans and classic/southern rock fans, they really don't fit into either of those genres but kind of mesh them together to give me a bon jovi meets academy is vibe.

Chasing Victory is a much heavier act that carries a lot of melodies really well while still sounding pretty brutal, im not a big hardcore fan, but i can really get into adam's vocals and their melodies, i don't really know what bands to compare them too without being cliche, so ill link their myspace up so you can decide for yourself
