They consider Augustana "heavy alternative" too. I just don't think they have many categories.

But Cartel is gonna be huge one day... that's for sure.

cartel is being played during all the commercial outros on ESPN basketball games as well

tons of press but youre right, theyre not really "blowing up"

Cartel is at about 200k records...I would consider them a HUGE success and a VERY popular band...if you don't, you're in the dark about the music industry and what it holds for most bands....not much.

I don't know if anyone is watching this boring SMU-Memphis basketball game on ESPN right now but they are playing a lot Cartel (at least the instrumental portion of their songs) while going to and coming back from commercial. I have heard them at least 3-4 different times.

I think it will be fun how as Cartel gets bigger, half the users on Ap.net will turn o nthem and talk trash. Just like what happened to Hellogoodbye, Falloutboy, etc

I could see that happening, but I hope it doesn't They are good dudes, Chroma is great IMO and I wish them all the success in the world.

ESPN still playing Cartel, but now during the Iowa-Indiana game. Same thing as before, as they cut to commercial and are showing highlights.

Sales is one thing but I'm talking more on a level among the people. I mean I don't hear a majority of kids talking about them or whatnot. They may get a song played in the background of something, but I just don't think they've reached a "huge" level that they are capable of.

Cartel is terrible. Chroma is nothing more than the same cookie cutter pop punk we've been getting for the last 3 years at least.

But good for them.
