Of course they are.. Well I would say them or the Beatles.. The Beatles may not be best, but definitely most INFLUENTIAL..

Best Zeppelin album? Wow thats really a tough one... All I have is the box set, i never bought any of the regular albums, so I don't have a real favorite... I guess I'd have to go with Led Zeppelin I..

Well, no one can fault you for picking Floyd. A cast with Roger Waters and Syd Barrett, absolute dynamite. But you're just wrong. They're not even remotely over looked. They're one of the greatest bands in rock and roll history. I can't name a single person with a proporly functioning brain that wouldn't put them in their top 10.

See this is where you are wrong here.. Pink Floyd's greatest album is Dark Side of the Moon... I have talked to many, many people who have come from that generation and asked them what they thought of Pink Floyd, some liked and some didn't... Yes, I believe that they are one of the most underrated bands of that time period...As for someone not including them in the top 10, it is possible.. It isn't that far fetched of an idea..

The Who
Led Zeppelin
Cream
the Doors
the Beatles
the Rolling Stones
Crosby Stills and Nash
the Allman Brothers
Grateful Dead

Thats only 9 bands, but hey that is a realistic poll by leaving off Pink Floyd...

Blasphemy. Floyd is NO WHERE NEAR even being considered over looked. Just because some people from the era don't appreciate their music (though they should, mind you) doesn't mean that the world over looks them. Your right The Dark Side Of The Moon is their most popular album, but do you actually know how popular it is? It spent 1500 weeks on the Billboard 200 spanning over three decades! It's said that one out of ever 14 people in the United States owns a copy. It was released in 1973 before the status of a platinum record was even created. Since it has sold well over 40 million copies and is currently 15x Platinum and counting. Now that's a damn popular album. Do you think a band that put out a record so influential could be over looked? The answer is no, just no.

Anyway, Yes should be on this list too. Jon Anderson and Chris Squire are geniuses.

i dont like when people say the beatles created every other band of the era. obviously there was influence, both direct and non-direct, and the beatles did change music as we knew it. but they didnt invent rock and roll. these bands are all terrific in my opinion and its fair to say they were all likely influenced by the beatles but they were not defined by them. the blues had just as much to do with the experimentation of a lot of these bands that the beatles had. in many cases, the blues ahd a far greater impact
