So there's the ''Green Day Blink 182'' thread, but people seem to have gone off Green Day because of American idiot, so, just out of these two albums, which is better?
If you hate American Idiot, just pretend it doesn't exsist, and think of the old Green Day.

Enema started it off for me, but I was only 9 and it had a huge impact on me.

I suppose for the older folks, Dookie would have that effect on them.

Not nearly as many comparisons as we've been having between Taking Back Sunday and Brand New.

Dookie got me into punk music. It came out when I was 14, probably the ideal age to be when it came out, I assume it was the same for everyone who was 14 when Enema came out. I was 19 when Enema came out, and while I loved the shit out of it, it didn't have nearly the impact or the historic significance that Dookie had and has on me and in regards to how I got into this genre.

This is not really a fair comparison. Enema came out when Warning came out for Green Day. Enema is MUCH better than Warning.

Dude Ranch is more comparable to Dookie and Dude Ranch wins. This is really pretty arbitrary

If everyone's saying Dookie, why is Enema winning by so much?
I vote Enema because it was literally the first CD I ever bought and the CD that got me into music in the first place. I do think Dookie is very good though.

i'm 19 and picked dookie...i had that little blue tape since i was like 7...they're the reason i started listening to the music i listed to but enema is what got me passionate about music. it was really hard to pick but i gave it to dookie cause i remember playing ken griffey junior baseball for super nintendo while having that on in the background.

Nothing can beat Blink 182, even that plus 44 and angels and speedways or whatever stuff they made up.

Green day to Blink?
Dookie.

Billie Joe is not only hot, but an awesome singer/songwriter/guitarist. Not a single drummer from the last two decades could stand up to Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt, he's good... Well, Dookie over Enema. Blink-182 never quite suited me.

yeah i guess it depeds how old you were when each came out...i was in 6th grade when dookie came out and that helped progress getting me into "punk"...but i still remember skipping school in 11th grade to get enema the morning it came out, and being utterly dissapointed the first time through it, but the second time i loved it...but neither of these albums compare to the greatness or influence of punk in drublic in my opinion...
