When he delivered a kick to the Kingpin's back, Daredevil (http://www.marvelcomics.com/universe/Daredevil_%28Matthew_Murdock%29) could only think, "Whatever that was, it wasn't fat. Felt more like rock". He is a superb fighter who has held his own against Spider-Man (http://www.marvelcomics.com/universe/Spider-Man_%28Peter_Parker%29), recently Daredevil occupies most of his attention.

I REALLY don't see the big deal with him being black. On 24, they've had not one, but TWO black presidents, and no one on this board seems to take issue. Hell no one in the world seems to take issue with the fact that the president has never been black.

Additionally, this movie was designed to be a blockbuster filled with huge stars and huger explosions(not to mention a vehicle for Jennifer Garner to make the transition from television to movies). They needed a big-name star to play The Kingpin. MCD was perfect. Pardon them for not letting a petty thing like skin tone, er, color their judgment.

i've gotta agree that they should have cast a white actor as kingpin. It'd be like casting Colin Farrel as Blade... the character was black in the comics so to change that would be changing the source material. All I got to Say was the Black Kingpin was not a bad Idea. I enjoyed Daredevil.

The Hulk was a decent movie but it could have been done SOOOOOOOO much better. Eric Banna was great in it. The directing was one of the worst parts along with all the weird cut scenes and stuff.

The New punisher is so much better and truer to the Character of Frank Castle than that crappy 80's version.

It's a hard thing to make a comic book that's existed for so long into a movie without making it cheesy, but comic books themselves are incredibly cheesy. Ghost Rider ended up being a pretty decent for what it was, and Ghost Rider himself is just a pretty cool character. It's definitely not the best film ever made, but as far as super hero movies go, it was entertaining. And it was miles better than the Hulk..

The first 30 mins were awesome.When he started to transform was cool but then they went to a whole screen of blazing fire and all of a sudden he was ghost rider. Lame. The constant pointing ghost rider did was very very very annoying. I remember the hype on his voice how it was going to be mixed in with lion growls and stuff. It sounded aweful. the fact he could go 200 miles an hour at first but then he was running away from cops, that was kinda lame too. The flicking off to the cops lame. and him riding on water was too.

the thing that takes the cake is, the end. When hes all like Im going to take this curse and use it against you and the devil just goes NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappeared, youre the god damned devil, walk up and take his soul jesus christ. If your pussy son can do it ( which looked horrible when he supposedly transformed) then why cant you. noooooooooooooooo ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Black Heart was pretty bad. They didin't show his true form (although they kind of hinted to it at the end)

I didn't have any problem with the pointing, i think he did that in the comic book. And the other stuff he did I didn't have much problem with either...its a comic book movie, unbelievable shit happens from time to time if you haven't noticed.
no way that movie was better than daredevil or even F4. I'm not even sure if it was better than Hulk.
I've been the one being optimistic the whole time in this thread. and to be honest i was a little let down. However, I think if they make a sequel i believe it could be much better than the first one.

It's a hard thing to make a comic book that's existed for so long into a movie without making it cheesy, but comic books themselves are incredibly cheesy. Ghost Rider ended up being a pretty decent for what it was, and Ghost Rider himself is just a pretty cool character. It's definitely not the best film ever made, but as far as super hero movies go, it was entertaining. And it was miles better than the Hulk..Hear, Here. And wow, I didn't know I was arguing with Matt so much in this thread. Jeebuz.
