Gerald Green is in.

He is going to win.

This will be the only thing the Celtics win for the rest of the season.

There's no chance that Gerald Green loses. His vertical is unreal.

Dwight Howard is scheduled to compete in the Slam Dunk contest on All-Star Saturday in Vegas.
Nate Robinson and Gerald Green are also in, but Andre Iguodala has said he will not participate.

Dwight Howard?

Ummm bad idea. Remember Amare Stoudemire in the dunk contest? You can't have someone that tall in the contest.

If Steve Nash got the soccer pass to him in the first try you know how sick that would've been?

It's not even a contest this year, it's an award show put together by Gerald Green

they need to bring back a 30 or 60 second shot clock limit. the past few years have been ridiculous with nate rob and chris anderson.

I always think every year some of the players like Wade, Lebron, Kobe would look back at the old contest films and decide they want to participate to put a show on for the fans. Guess that will never happen.

mikeford
02/04/07, 07:58 PM
nate rob sucks.

Split2nd
02/04/07, 08:04 PM
Why does LeBron refuse to do it?

mikeford
02/04/07, 08:05 PM
because he's a gay.

I like Gerald Green. I don't know why but I have some sort of affinity towards the Celtics. I always hope they do well, despite the fact that I'm a big Knicks fan. I also like Green because he seems to understand the beauty of the mid-range jumper. Kid has a amazing shot.

I'm pretty sure Rudy Gay is gonna be in it this year too.

JRich won't.

Igoudala will win if he's in it.

The judges for this year are pretty goddamn impressive...

Jordan, Dr. J, Kobe, Wilkins and VC.

They should just let those five go at it.

CHICAGO (AFP) - Chicago Bulls (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/afp/sp_afp/basketnbabullsthomas/21843659/*http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?fr=news-storylinks&p=%22Chicago%20Bulls%22&c=&n=20&yn=c&c=news&cs=nw) forward Tyrus Thomas (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4132/) considered taking part in the National Basketball Association Slam Dunk Contest "free money" but saying so has already cost the rookie 10,000 dollars.

The Bulls fined Thomas that amount on Tuesday for his comments after being invited to take part in the annual jam session on February 17, the eve of the NBA All-Star Game, in Las Vegas.

The Bulls fined Thomas that amount on Tuesday for his comments after being invited to take part in the annual jam session on February 17, the eve of the NBA All-Star Game, in Las Vegas.

"Not really. I'm just going to go out there, get my check and call it a day," Thomas said. "I'm just into the free money. That's it. I'll just do whatever when I get out there."

The winner will receive 35,000 dollars with 22,500 to the runner-up and 16,125 dollars each for third and fourth. Wherever he finishes, Thomas will pay a portion his winnings to the fine levied by Bulls vice president John Paxson.

"This fine is an appropriate response to the remarks Tyrus made," Paxson said. "It's a poor reflection on Tyrus individually and a poor reflection on the Bulls organization and I am certainly disappointed.

"The league office has chosen Tyrus to participate in one of its premier All-Star events and that is an honor that should be accepted with humility.

"I spoke with Tyrus and I'm confident he understands that he made a mistake with his words and that he also understands the importance of representing the Bulls and the NBA in a positive way."

That ungrateful bitch just got pwned.

Gerald Green should win out of this group, but why isn't James White in it? He's been in and out of the NBA this year and the dunk contest would certainly help make a name for himself. Windmills from the free throw line, c'mon!
