i dont understand what a chalk outline has to do with the cd.
You guys would be better off using a digital camera and taking a picture for your album.

-JAck Great except for the title in the bottom left. You shouldn't use such a generic font.
Make the colors a little deeper so its easy to see. I like the album title and the cover concept though. The body outline thing is pretty cool.

I really like it. For a clearly amateur job, it has a definite level of artistic value. Here are some suggestions:
*) use a different font for "lost point of view"
*) there's what looks like some kind of texture or shading on the green letters. get rid of the texture, it looks smudgy. just go with clean green letters. or if you have access to photoshop, you could use a layer effect like a bevel.
*) it's the wrong shape. each panel of a CD insert is a perfect square. don't believe me? go get one and measure it. it's an optical illusion that it's wider than tall because of the case.
*) I like the drawing!

Shit dude.
My suggestion to the first cover would be to start over. The idea is very cool, but it probablly needs to be done a little differently. If you can, use a real street pic and then draw the outline. Remember, lighting and reflection is important in any picture.
That's my 2 cents.

Thats a much better cover
well i'm guessing it's supposed to look a little blury since it's titled lost point of view, it kinda reminds me of dead yuppies from agnostic front, but that's just the chalk outline.

Remember, lighting and reflection is important in any picture. I don't agree. A photo versus a drawing such as this one are two very different styles of art. The reason it looks like a charcoal drawing is because it's supposed to look like a charcoal drawing. To just ditch this concept and use a photo would (in my opinion) be abandoning the artistry of this original. A photo is just too blunt for this look.
Besides, if Jack and his band don't have the resources to come up with a photographer skilled enough to make it look "artsy" and professional, odds are it will only end up looking worse.
try something like this...keep it if you like, just an example, explore your options...it's not the greatest cd cover but it's a start.

the first one... eh, yea. okay. not good.
the neverselected... only if you didnt use that shitty ass font with a "glow" instead of a "shadow"...... it would be cool.
fierce felix... too plain in my opinion.
this last one... great stock image. good idea with the gradient. great use of fonts, but take out the candles. they really arent needed, and that one star, is fine. i like it. would make an excellent album cover.
