i still think the old quote of "if you don't like here, then leave." is still effective to this day........and i have no problem with people who want to live in a more socalist society to leave.......

That's not a problem with me; less socialists in America. However, did you see the numbers of how many are coming into America from Canada? It was 6 times the number going to Canada!

I agree. If you don't like America, just leave. I don't care. I think it would be better if they weren't here.

"Conversely, Mollie Ingebrand says some of her friends -- people who share her left-of-center views -- argue that she should stay at home to battle for changes here."
I agree with that.

Canada kicks ass. I feel like I want to move there, but then I also feel like I'd be abandoning the fight in America. Maybe if there is no hope, I'll move to Canada.

The next person that says this takes over Brand New's reign as moron of the month. Just because Bushy decided to play cowboys and indians with the entire world doesn't mean that I'm going to pack up and leave everything and everyone I have ever known.

No one's forcing you to. He's just saying that if you're that dissatisfied with the government, you're free to leave.

Thats something you'll have to take up with the commies that post here, if there are any. Anyway, I think its kinda stupid to leave if you don't like the way things are. Things will only improve if you fight to make them improve

the 2001 figures were 5,894 Americans moving north, 30,203 Canadians moving south.
looks like the weather is much better down here...............
It's the brain drain.
Educated Canadians can make more money in the US, so they leave.
But hey, I don't have a problem with that, less capitalists in my country :D

If I was to leave it would be one less liberal for the conservatives to worry about in the future therefore making the United States more conservative.

Heres the updated post for me:
If you hate the USA, your free to leave. Nobody will care cause its your right to live where you want (and Canada definatley isn't bad either, just cold and shit). But if you hate Bush and want to leave cause you can't take the policies, don't bitch about it, cause your not doing anything to help your fellow liberals that are more determinded to actually contribute and change stuff.
