Tony Blair
Can we be sure that terrorism and weapons of mass destruction will join together? Let us say one thing: If we are wrong, we will have destroyed a threat that, at its least, is responsible for inhuman carnage and suffering. That is something I am confident history will forgive. But if our critics are wrong, if we are right, as I believe with every fiber of instinct and conviction I have that we are, and we do not act, then we will have hesitated in the face of this menace when we should have given leadership. That is something history will not forgive.
Read the entire speech here (http://www.opinionjournal.com/extra/?id=110003758).
His arguments are so logical it's undeniable. It's sad that he's stuck in Britian, where almost everyone hates him. He's done his best to keep the US and Europe together in though times, even when relations are at their worst. We should amend the constitution so people not born America can be President so that Blair can take over in '08. Realistically, though, I would love to see him come over the the US and be a Senator after he's done being PM.

He is a good speaker. Lol, did any of you see that Daily Show where they showed the British Parliment? Tony Blair and some other dude were debating, and Tony Blair proved this other dude false, and the British Parliment laughed. It was some detail that no body would laugh at unless you had British Parlimentary background, but then it flashed to Jon Stewart, "Oh, burn! Tony Blair you did not just say that!" I cant do this bit justice by telling you about it, but if you had seen it, it was hilarious. And also, withstamin, if they allow non US citizens to be president, its Arnold in 08.

thats the one thing i have ultimate respect in blair for...whenever he gives speeches, it all is concise, well said, and logical. Regardless if i always agree with what he says all the time...hes almost a joy to listen to in the political world.

Sucks to be him. Maybe he should have had the balls to stand up to Big Bad George, then the public might like him a little more.

i'd prefer my politicians to stand up for what they believe is right, rather than caving into public opinion....but thats just me.

Or maybe he was crumbling under pressure from a powerful ally. Risk looking like France, or piss of his constituents? Apparently he chose the latter, which I consider "caving in".
And I trust I won't hear any French-bashing coming from you, because France certainly stood up for what she believed was right.

if Blair didn't think it was right to go, he wouldn't have, Canada didn't and they managed to save face for the most part, they certainly came out looking better than the French did, so Blair also could have done the same...
