Okay so here is a short review of the show tonight on the "Winter West Tour"
Get Back Loretta was definitely not what I was expecting. They were a little weird, but I'd say pretty solid.
The Audition got the crowd into it a little bit. The band sounded dead on, but the vocals from the lead singer were not very clear it seemed (could be because I didnt know most of the words). They opened with You've made us unconscious and played too late, as well as a new song that sounded great.
Head Automatica played for 40 minutes and it felt like forever. The band shredded like crazy, but I could not hear the lead singer at all. They played Graduation Day, Oxycotin, Beating Hearts baby, etc.
This lead the way for why everyone was there....Jack's
Probably the coolest intro I have ever heard....An acapella of Holiday from real played over the venue speakers and the coolest light I've ever seen on stage were blazing in pinks and blues...they Andrew walks out with the band and starts playing Holiday from real right where the intro left off....SO GOOD
Below is the set with some notes:
Holiday From Real
I'm Ready
Kill the messenger (with the goosebump creating killer piano finish)
Mixed Tape
Ms. Delaney
Last Straw (b-side)
Rescued
Dark Blue (with born to be in hollywood intro)
She Paints me Blue (Soco)
Punk Rock Princess original version (Heroine)
Bruised
Into the Airwaves
Encore:
La La Lie (alternate original version)
A cover of a Police song
MFEO/You can breathe...with AWESOME solos from each member of the band...
Amazing...simply amazing.....we tried to get him to play konstantine but he wouldn't:)
This tour (well Jack's set) is HIGHLY recommended!
