I was at the Nokia show. I'm not too into Cobra Starship, but they were tight and put on a good show I thought. Cartel really stole the show though. It was the first time I've seen them, and I thought they were amazing. That dude can fucking sing. They sounded great. On a side note, that was my first time going to Nokia Theater. That place is dope. Kinda like a movie theater, except with live music. But $6 for a Bud can? Get the fuck out of here. I guess that's any show in NYC.

i really wish i could have seen this band when they were touring off their ep, i've never heard any of those songs live ever

the nokia theater btw has terrible terrible sound, last night's show was nearly ruined because of its horrible sound, the sound was way too muddy and bassy and the PA seemed fucked up, especially during permanent me's set, so although it a beautiful venue, its horrible sound is a huge turn off

I was also at the show last night...It was really awesome and I completely disagree with the complaints about Nokia. It was the first time that I was there and I really loved it. The food/drink may be expensive but this is New York and you don't necessarily come for that. Cartel was insane. They played everything that I wanted to hear. Before the show, I hadn't really been impressed with Cobra Starship's music but I think they really put on a good show. This will defiantly not be the last time I see Cartel.

Did you not see them on the tour with Acceptance, TREOS, Augustana, and Panic!. If you didn't your loss.....$8 for those 5 bands...and I know they played Write this down for sure and probably one or two others off the EP since their album wasn't quite out yet.

that tour was incredible. panic was actually still fun to see live, cartel was trying to get noticed, and acceptance was amazing. that is one tour i was freaking glad i got to see

Agreed. It was before Augustana got big too AND TREOS is always good live. That tour today would cost $50 haha

Yea I agree totally that the PA wasn't great. And it was most noticeable during PM. You could barely hear the drums. I didn't really notice it for the other bands. And I thought it was good while Cartel was on but I was all the way up front and everyone was singing the words so it mite have still been bad, I couldn't tell.

at the new orleans show, it seemed like the sets were cut short.

permanent me didn't play blackjaw suitcase and cartel didn't play Q or A (i think). they played 2 new songs, wonderwall, and closed with honestly. i saw them with NFG and the two performances were miles apart. this time around cartel really stepped up and put on a good show.

anyone going to shows later on the tour let me know, if during Cobra Starship's 'Bring it', they call someone from the crowd onto the stage to do Travis's rap. some girl did it at the show last night and nailed it... pretty cool.

They must do it somewhat regularly. They did it when I saw them headline at Chain Reaction back in November.
