Who is Pablo and why is he on this tour?

Pablo is the blues-y/folky/pop melodic concoction of frontman Paul Schalda (along with his wife Maggie and a group of other great musicians in the band) who are currently on tour with Kevin Devine (also supporting as his "and the Goddamn Band") and Jennifer O'Connor. i just saw that show in Toronto last week and it was one of the best, most intimate, and friendly enviornments ive ever been in. They are actually the friendliest group of musicians ive ever encountered. Paul told me about going on the road with Straylight Run this spring and how he was extremely excited/nervous about it. I reassured him that the band would make fans of everyone willing to give them a listen.

Their album is out and is called "Half The Time" and is fantastic. Check out their myspace at http://www.myspace.com/pablomusic its really good stuff, but their live show is much more convincing than just the recordings.

alright, time for me to stop dickriding, i just am currently really obsessed with this album.
