Which films have truly hit you? I mean truly, knocked you on your ass, made you convulse, vomit, and or hurt from laughter or tears. Or go the otherway, movies that made you want to beat the shit out of the director. Its a silly question but I'm bored.
-Dancer in the Dark- most of the film is meh, but the last 20 minutes caused me tears enough to force convulsions.
-Grave of the fireflies- This film evoked the above reaction in my wife.
grave of the fireflies almost brought me to tears

I'm a man and don't cry in Movies.
There have been times when things happen to get lodged in my eye during sad parts of movies though, but I'm not crying

When I was a kid, Where The Red Fern Grows made my cry. I always get choked up at the end of Gladiator.

I'm a sap, so it's not hard to make me cry. Really happy or sad moments always make me tear up.
I'm a scardy cat too, so I jump a lot during scary movies.

for movies where I wanted to hurt the director, and everyone involved, cinderella story (is there an article?) takes the cake

If These Walls Could Talk.
Seeing Demi Moore bleed to death out of her vagina left me so stunned I couldn't talk or think straight for a couple hours, and I had a very uncomfortable feeling in my chest.

I am a sap so most sad movies you can count on me crying. The only movie that ever pissed me off was My Own Private Idaho. That movie sucked and I was like, "It's gotta get better. This just sucks" Credits rolled and I was pissed at my brother because he said it was good!

Yeah, in her kitchen.
Ugh. It was so gross. That's the only movie that's ever literally made me unable to speak when it ended. The other parts of the movie with Anne Heche and Cher were whatever, but that Demi Moore shit.... uggggggggggggggggggggggh

Happiness - I couldn't think straight for about 6 hours after watching it. It just fucked me up in the head. The rest of the day felt like I was trying to walk off a bad case of shellshock. I also felt really weird in the pit of my stomach, not to mention a huge ammount of guilt for feeling sorry for a child rapist

For some weird reason, the dance sequence in Clerks II always gets me. It's odd that it does, but it sure does hit me for a reason that I can't explain.
Schlinder's List usually gets some kind of emotions from me.

I cried during Jerry Mcguire. Don't really care what you think, I'm still tough.
And Big Fish got me good for some reason, makes you think about your relationship with your father.

During Old School, when the cinder block goes through the sewer and pulls the kid down I had to leave the theater because I couldn't breathe. Dodgeball made me crack up as well, especially when they go into the girl's apartment and it's all unicorns. I was dying.
Most recently I remember crying during Eight Below. It's the movie about a guy who has to leave his dogs in Antarctica during the winter... animals dying always tend to make me bawl. I cried hysterically reading Where the Red Fern Grows. I haven't seen it in movie form but there are tear stains all over my book because I didn't want to stop reading to get a kleenex.
The Notebook book made me cry but the movie put me to sleep (literally).

1) I literally fell out of my seat at the theater while watching Old School when Will Ferrell shot himself with the tranquilizer, and was bowling over the kids table and eventually fell in the pool, granted this was my first time out of bed in two months due to the Mono.
2) This thread has received far too many responses.

i wouldnt go so far as to say hes horribly under appreciated, to an extent he is yeah, but he just lays low and doesnt do that many movies. i would say most people really like him...even if they have only seen him in one movie
