they started rotating the video for "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows" on MTV2... its actually quite good. The new cd really sounds nothing like the alst one. which is good. very good.

and yes, FYE is a rip-off but its all we have here.

the movie was pretty cool. johnny depp's character was awesome. pirates are so fucking cool. kind of long though... 2 and a half hours is a bit much for a campy/mindless swashbuckler thingy.

and thursday is coming out ons eptember the 16th... mexican independence day!

no... thats when the fought the French out of their lands.... but the only day recognized as independence day is "diez y siete" (sixteen) the 16th of september. tahts when mexico became free from spain. yeah... you kind of have to know this stuff when your town is 60% mexican.

2 and a half hours? Christ....that is long. I've got catching up to do though. The shitty movie theatere here only plays The Hulk, Terminator 3, and Legally Blonde 2, all three of which I didn't want to see. I still need to see Pirates, 28 days later, and there was one other I can't remember.......

i saw 28 days later yesterday, it was pretty good. not really scary, as i thought it would be, more jumpy though.

yeah. i always made fun of him. our class would always mock him and ignore him and stuff. it was great. we got away with so much shit in his class...

think of how we treat Mr. Wagner. Now a little less respect. for 18 weeks. much fun for all.

I ended up buying Jane's Addiction and Thrice, for the bargain price of $29. God, I love FYE.

They didn't even have Poison the Well, and after listening to more tracks, I decided Deja Endtendu was a bit to mellow for my likings.Glad that phase is over with. I guess I can go back to hating Brand New now! YAY!


Anyway, both CD's were fucking great. I personally think that The Artist in the Ambulance is slightly (only slightly) better than the Illusion of Safety. The sound is a lot harder on most songs, the lyrics are still great, and the band really comes together nicely. The rythym section is finally up to speed with Teppei and Dustin (who have always been amazing). Great CD.

As for Jane's, it was most excellent. Dave Navarro is a fucking great guitarist. If you like solid guitar driven rock with smart lyrics and good beats, I definitely reccomend this CD.

yes i was pleasantly surprised with The Artist in the ambulance.. its a lot better than i thought it would be.

yeah. i kind of wish there had been at least one other song like the title track... oh well. they are definitely moving for a heavier sound, which i like. but i like their more ballad-esque type stuff too. other than that i really liked it. people kept slamming it... i got worried. but tis definitely a solid cd, and my fave for the band.
