human nature is what makes un imperfect beings. it gives us drive to commit tasks that are not necessities, it makes us feel emotions we don't want to feel. BUT WE HAVE TO. it's in our brain, it's in our blood. we have to feel this things. we have to feel love even if we cannot. we have to yearn for it even when we know we can't reach it. it's that piece of candy you stood on your tippy toes to get when you were a child. some of us will never grow tall enough to reach that prize. and we will still fantasize abotu the taste every second of the day. past events in our lives that have stained the walls of our minds will not let us make that fantasy a reality. leaving us unfulfilled, unhappy, unable human beings. all because of human nature. and we can't change that. we are born witht his leash around our neck. we want love so much, so bad, but we can't have it. its our forbidden apple hanging off the edge of a branch staring at us with such a delicious look. we hunger for it. people die int he name of love, and we can't even feel it without thinking of ourselves first. it hurts.

I think that this is one of your weaker songs. It just feels like you wrote it all down with editing it at all, and "straight from the heart" stuff rarely works out well. Most people aren't good enough writers that they can say what they mean the best they can the first time they say it.

This song feels like an earnest discussion of something rather than a song...and I'd be careful about using "forbidden apple" images. They instantly conjure up religious images, and since you don't deal with those images, it makes this song ring incomplete.

Imperfect, not un imperfect. It may have been a typo.
