the only way i can kill your ghost that haunts my sleep is by counting my pills before i count my sheep. that way my eyelids are to heavy to react to anything. you could light my arm on fire, my eyes would stay closed and i'd smile. my blue and red buddies keep me away from the things in life i don't want to see.
lifeless, motionless, breathless.
i should be waking up anytime now. whats wrong. my eyes; they won't open. my arms; they won't move. my voice; it won't scream.
oh god what have i done. now i wish for your ghost. now i need you.
(sounds of an ambulance and the doors closing. then the sound of a stretcher being raced down a hall, the doctors talking about the patient. a girl in the background hysterical and crying)
who is this man who stands above me. he doesn't know me, whys he here? . my eyes...they're opening - where am i?. my arms...they're moving - this isn't my bed. my voice...it's screaming
there you are. oh i've missed you.
the sound of an ambulance doesn't make for the best soundtrack to comatose dreams.

"that way my eyelids are to heavy to react to anything."
that one part sounds out of place and doesnt really go along with the rest of it.

"the only way i can kill your ghost that haunts my sleep is by counting my pills before i count my sheep", is a way cool line. as for the rest i personaly can't see them being sung, maybe if it was written a different way i could possibly see how you want the song to be sung, later

ever read cursives lyrics? they dont sound like they can be sung either. you just start to play and sing to it and the words fall into place, then edit the music and lyrics accordingly.

Sound alike a coool post-hardcore song
lyrical content doesn't have anything to do with the genre of the music...how can something "sound" like a post-hardcore song if you haven't heard the accompanying instrumentation?
what the fuck is "post-hardcore" anyway?

WEWIN do you alwayds have to be such an ass-hole, the way i was hering it in my head was that of a post-hardcore genre, and i think it's pathetic if you don't know what post-hardcore is, how can you judge something if you don't know what it is?
no, really, what the FUCK is post-hardcore? Name a band.
that's great that you think i'm pathetic for not knowing something. Way to go for you. How dare I question!
And what are you TALKING about, "judging something if i don't know what it is"? What am I judging? What are you trying to say?
and it's true; you can't categorize the song based on the lyrical content.

SPITALFIELD
YESTERDAYS RISING

ANATOMY OF A GHOS
TROPHY STARS
PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS
MIDNIGHT FALLS
YOU DAY STRONG
dude, don't make yourself out to be more of an ass than you are.
me? close-minded for not knowing what "post-hardcore" is?
they must've changed the definition of "close-minded" when i wasn't looking...
despite your oddly aggressive and antagonistic comments, thanks for the list. Keep the anger to yourself next time I ask a nice question, k?
and i've heard planes mistaken for stars. they're just like a screamo band. they sound like hot water music with bad production and lyrics about angels and mud and ash and beer.
post-hardcore=after hardcore--implies some sort of advance from hardcore? these bands are just bands that sing and scream and have loud and soft parts in the songs and SUCK.
anatomy of a ghost is like a joke version of co&ca.
and spitalfield is one of THE dumbest names i've EVER heard.

Your not close minded for not knowing what a genre is......your close minded in the sense that you don't want to believe anything that anyone tells you because you always have to be right....even when your not....i seriously think you take hours to write your responses trying to use larger words than you need to "despite your oddly aggressive and antagonistic comments" stop trying to sound smarter than you are post hardcore does not mean an advancement from hardcore, it just means that it came about after hardcore...And i didn't remember saying all the bands were awesome and their songs rocked, so i don't see why you say their songs suck, when you ahven't even heard of half the bands let alone listen to their music, so that is another part of your close mindedness, or actually that is ignorance, judging what you don't know, pretending to be in the loop when your so far out jacque custo couldn't find you. So stop acting all high and mighty adn telling every single person how much they suck, how much their idols suck, and learn that constructive criticism doesn't always come from a break down to make up scenerio............and another thing that really bothers me is that you can be so hipocritical "and it's true; you can't categorize the song based on the lyrical content." <- your words exactly, so why is it you tell so many people that their music is another piece of shit poppy song with no talent thats going no where and it sucks,....YOU don't know it is a poppy song b/c you can't categorize a song based on lyrical content )so you say) so why do you.........just a few things to leave you thinking about........
If I don't believe you, it's because I'm not convinced that YOU are right, not because I'm convinved that I am right.
It does take a long time to write long responses. Yeah. Observant.
How do you know how smart I am? How, then, can you say I sound smarter than I actually am?
I didn't say that it WAS an advancement from hardcore, I ASKED. That's what the question mark is for...
I think that the sing/scream thing that is so popular is annoying and stupid and sounds bad. I summarized that by saying it "sucks". Me saying that post-hardcore sucks is like saying that pop music sucks. I haven't heard all of p-h or all of pop-punk, but i know i dislike the style.
When i'm actually criticizing a song, I say WHY the song sucks, not just that it sucks. If I say it sucks, that is my opinion. Therefore, "this sucks"="i think it sucks". My opinion, not a fact, and opinions are what matter in a forum like this.
And for that 'hiproctrite' comment, well, you got me. yeah, i contradicted myself. oops. i'll try not to let it happen again. good job for catching that mistake. you get, like, ten thousand points.
and about the "big words" that i use: why does it matter if you know what i'm saying? that's how i talk, dude. deal with it. i'm trying to deal with your terrible spelling, grammar, and syntax, so you can deal with mine.
